Kane 'lined up as Lewandowski replacement'

Bayern Munich are lining up Harry Kane as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, according to German publication Kicker.
Bayern's first-team players who were on international duty in June are returning to training on Tuesday for medical checks, so it remains to be seen if Lewandowski attends after he made his intentions to leave public.
The Poland international is keen on a move to Barcelona, and Kicker claim Kane is viewed as the ideal replacement if Lewandowski has his wish granted in the coming weeks.
The 28-year-old has a contract with Tottenham until 2024

Unpopular opinion but wish we would get and convert Traore into a rwb.
I agree with you that it tends to be an unpopular idea on here, but I can see the sense to it, especially the way Conte's systems work. He doesn't really need players to be intelligent footballers in all positions, in certain positions he just needs them to practice the same things a million times so that when the time comes in a match, they just do those things instinctively, no decision-making required. Ok so obviously I'm over-simplifying somewhat there, but you can see the point I'm making - Conte could get the most out of Traore, despite his flaws, more so than most managers could.

In addition, given his limited playing time at both Wolves and Barca, I doubt he would expect to start every game, so I could see him being an option for the types of games where he would be most useful. (There people might think I mean the 'defensive wall' teams, but actually quite the opposite - when WE'RE being possessionally dominated and are stuck on the edge of our own box, being able to get the ball to Traore to smash us 60 yards up the pitch would be a godsend).

But as you say, it's a very unpopular opinion on here, and with so much evidence of his failure to deliver in the past, you can absolutely see why people aren't keen.

mate…..

Totally fine if you hold an alternative view. But I stand by mine 👍🏾

Think you're gonna need this rude boy:

22 years , mind you Sugar was no kiss for Christmas

Klinsman signed in July
Armstrong signed in June
Rebrov signed in May
I'm sure if dates were easier to find from that era there would be a lot more earlier in the window than under ENIC*

*I don't think ENIC started that way. I think they had a mild success with it at some point and decided there that this was their tactic from now on.

For fucks sake.

Really, we are truly going to pay thirty million (allegedly) for a player who could "do a job"?

Stick to tonic water mate, and leave out the gin.
I've already posted this.

Assuming the KWP clause is real, the question is whether he has developed into a £30m player. My answer is No.
But then Soton allegedly want £75m for James Ward-Prowse, so the English market is fucked.
