Disagree, he has nowhere near the playmaking ability that Eriksen has, and scores less goals. When those are your main jobs in the team, because neither player is strong defensively, then you have to say he is the inferior of the two.

Maddison put up 20 G/A in the prem last season and he is quite aggressive off the ball.

What a twat.

The players we have that are 25 or under:

Brandon Austen 23
Sessegnon 22
Regulion 25
Romero 24
Rodon 24
Tanganga 23
Royal 23
Spence 21
Bissouma 25
Bentancur 25
Ndombele 25
Skipp 21
Sarr 19
Devine 17
White 20
Richarlison 25
Gil 21
Kulusevski 22
Parrott 20
Scarlett 18

19 players all 25 or under, 8 of which would be classified as 21 or under once the Spence deal is confirmed.

Personally I think the painful rebuild and where we were at 2 or 3 years ago has been impressively turned around.

Interesting comments from Conte re: seeing Lucas as a RWB option.

This tallies with the idea of us going for another attacking signing - that would give us 5 top quality options to play the 3 forward positions plus Perisic and Lucas as emergency forward back-up.

So atm we basically have 4 RWB options - something has to give.

I think Emerson is gone and then depending on how Lucas adapts to the position over pre-season we may also shift out Doherty and run with Spence and Lucas. Though Doherty's supposed versatility at LWB (even though he is terrible there) may keep him around.

It will be interesting to see what the pecking order is if Spence, Lucas and Doherty are all here this season.

No most of it isn't financed, a lot of if was, i think i read somewhere about 70% (someone maybe able to clarify this). The initial costs for land, paying off residents and businesses, and early build costs were paid by the club. You can find that in the accounts y.o.y during the build period.....

Why do you think we've ended up in a stadium costing £1.2 billion with only £700k debt?
70% is most of it. Not a lot. Most.

Eriksen scored a goal every 4.4 games on average for Spurs.
Maddison scores a goal every 3.8 games on average for Leicester.
(Both all competitions and both sourced from Wiki)

Premier League only assist record

Maddison 133 games - 23 assists - 5.7 games per assist
Eriksen
237 games - 66 assists - 3.6 games per assist

I don't think it's a stretch to say a 25 year old Maddison will improve and has 5 years ahead of him, whereas Eriksen has likely peaked and has maybe 2 years left.

One thing to be said is that Paratici is really showing how easy it is to get deals done when you have good forward planning and good industry contacts.

We were really up against it with clowns like Hitchens going around signing N'duds every window and even Poch parroting the club's bullshit stance of 'It's very hard to improve our team'.

Good to have someone in that can actually get us behaving like the top club we apparently aspire to be.
Fair to say that Hitchen was completely inept, and well out of his depth. The fact Everton tried to poach him underlines what a thoroughly useless cunt he was.
