We've never had a good window? I think your questioning of Antonio Conte's character is pretty low for a Spurs fan. Has he ever given reason to suspect he is a liar? From all I've of seen of him, he strikes me as honest to a fault.

Slightly off topic (which is unusual in here) but I read this morning that several players left United's game at the weekend before the game had even finished.

Allegedly ETH was not best happy. Apparently Ronaldo was one pf them, he's one poisonous influence in that changing room.

Can anyone imagine this happening under Conte?

He'd ream any player with a new arse if they were to do that.

I can't see United doing anything this season, an out of control club just ruining one manager after another.

We should be grateful for the Management that we have and the acquisitions we have made. We may not have the most gifted players in every position but under Conte he has them giving a fuck.

Nobody with a brain is panicking, so don't worry about it.

The sensible ones know we've done excellent business, and really improved our squad. Of course 1 or 2 more additions will be welcome, but if not, so be it - we've set ourselves up nicely, and Conte is obviously happy with what's been done.

I think we’d be crazy not to even test the waters with this one.

Honestly, I think that is half the battle with the modern player. They've all got ability, the manager just has to get it out of them to varying degrees. I cant imagine even thinking for a second about pissing Conte off if I were a player.

Why?
Cause this lad wants 400 k per week salary?
And he does not seem to be Conte-type of CM.

So if you are asking what could go wrong with transfer where -
- player is not fond of leaving previous club
- is not very good fit for the style that club is playing
- would become record signing
- and record earner...

then there are those same 4 reasons.
 
We certainly have not won the window.
Still no creative midfielder which we have cried out for since Eriksen left.
Still no elite CB which we were told we were going to get this summer.
And of the one we we have signed the only one I’m truly excited about is Bissouma. And potentially Spence.
Reminds me a tad of the Jose season when everyone was ranking us 10/10 - but in reality it was another failure. I called that out at the time.
Would be thrilled if I was wrong.
