You're talking nonsense. Woolwich did better business? Like what? Signing a backup striker of a team without strikers for £45M with a year left on his contract, when we signed the guy that benches him on the National Team is better business for them?
Or is it Zinchenko a better purchase than Perisic, who is a proven winner (he was brilliant v Liverpool as well, so we know he can play against the very best of english sides). Also let's not forget, he was Chelsea's #1 choice for LWB, not Cucurrella, who I highly rate as well.
Or is a relatively unknown Portugese player a better purchase than a proven PL midfielder who every top 6 side would love to have in their squad?

Am I being too objective? Should I be more subjective, like you are? That's unfortunate, because I wasn't born to support that Scum down the road...
 
Really looking forward to us spending £20 million on this lad, loaning him back, loaning him out next season too, finally getting him back and playing him for a combined 17 minutes across the season and then selling him to Verona for 8 million euros in 2026.

Yeah I’d be very happy with his signing.

But as I said earlier- we are a bit imbalanced with more quality on the left than the right.

Well no because at least the ‘Barca did better business’ statement is probably true, even if it is all with dodgy financing.

There’s nothing to be jealous of with Woolwich. Jesus & Zinchenko are good players but certainly not better than Richarlison or Perisic.

Who else is there? Vieira? A prospect, we’ve added some of those & Bissouma who is potentially a game changing midfield player.

If we had Woolwich’s window then I don’t buy for a second that you would actually be content with it.

What are the objective facts that make Zinchenko a better LWB than Perisic? I’d love to hear them.

I think Zinchenko is a good footballer but can't help but feel most of his best games come for his national team.

I do find it a little crazy that Woolwich were willing to put up with £30,000,000 for a 25 year old who on average has only started 11 Premier League games a season over the last 5 seasons.

And I refuse to believe anyone can say he's better than any starting central midfield option we have when the guy has started just two Premier League games from the middle of the park in his entire career.

Parety ( 🤮 ) and Zincheko could work well. Zinchenko is a tidy passer, akin to Winks with a bit more finesse, well suited to a possession heavy team. It's just that he's been a backup LB for years. It's asking a lot of him to play CM now.

I'd agree that Zinchenko is better than Winks, but it's still a bit of a gamble for Woolwich with the fee they've paid and his experience playing midfield in a league like the Premier League.

I personally think he'll be playing left back for them, certainly early on. Tierney is out injured and I don't believe they have any other left back without having to play someone like Cedric out there and I can't see them dropping Xhaka, much to our delight.

Most people on here are Levy ***** riders and overrate our team and every signing we make and at the same time underrate every signing of our rivals. They don't even use basic logic. There is still people crying about Liverpool and how they will lose ao much with Mane gone, and that Nunez not going to compensate and all that b. c. that just shows you how little they know about football and are bias as hell. Stupid as well. Liverpool get Mane replacement last winter in Diaz, but some people on here still don't get it.
We still going to have 4-6 best team in the league, depends what United and Woolwich do.
We can do better cause we have world class manager, but he ain't god.
