Maddison on the scoresheet again. And yes, I know I keep going on about him but it seems such an obvious transfer to me.
I don't think that this is what you can deduce from this article. He is just saying that, if someone leaves, someone new has to come in. That's different than saying he doesn't want Gil to leave.Sounds like he doesn't want Gil or anyone else to leave.

Antonio Conte offers his verdict on whether Bryan Gil is set to leave Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has been speaking about Bryan Gil’s future at the club.
Gil was on the bench once again for Tottenham’s 1-0 win against Wolves earlier this afternoon for the third match in a row without taking to the field.
The winger has been linked with a move away from north London during the summer transfer window with The Times claiming yesterday that Valencia are close to sealing a switch for the 21-year-old, but did not disclose whether it would be a loan or permanent deal.
The Spanish international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Mestalla Stadium just a couple of months after Conte took over in north London.
Conte was adamant when fielding questions from the press that if any of his squad were to leave, they must be replaced with a new signing.
He told the post-match press conference as quoted by Charlie Eccleshare on Twitter: “I was very clear during the press conference before the game. The squad is this – if someone goes, someone has to come in.”

With Tottenham looking to compete on four fronts this season and with the World Cup happening in the middle of the season, Conte is making it clear to the club that if they want to offload any players they must be prepared to spend not to leave him short of options.
A loan deal appears the most likely for Gil should it happen, however, expect many of these potential transfers to go down to the wire on deadline day should Spurs identify a better option to bring in.
There is a crucial bit that I couldn't copy but it's in the article he said" you have to speak with the club as to whether he is about to leave."I don't think that this is what you can deduce from this article. He is just saying that, if someone leaves, someone new has to come in. That's different than saying he doesn't want Gil to leave.
Have to agree, my 30's and 40's have been so much better than my 20's.Just smash those remaining 4 years safe in the knowledge that your 30s can be even better.......

Just came here having seen the Leicester result. He's better than themMaddison on the scoresheet again. And yes, I know I keep going on about him but it seems such an obvious transfer to me.
That he would be a good purchase for us. Have always really liked him and think he might be the key to unlocking cunts like wolves.

Oh 8nrate him and think he would be great for us. If he can 7nlock.those 6 games a season when we can't score or helps us win then a decent price would be worth it. Remember we spent 60 mill or so on ndombeleFor how much? Because the more you spend on him, the less it's a good purchase.
I'm sure you watched the match this afternoon though. So I am not sure how you've come to conclusion we needed James Maddison of all players to unlock Wolves. We created chances against them but it was our end product that let us down. That's not really an expensive issue.

Wouldn't be a waste if it works. We couldn't unlock those 6 games a season when we had prime Eriksen.
I doubt wasting £60,000,000+ on Maddison is going to help.
Already wasted 60 mill on ndombeleWe couldn't unlock those 6 games a season when we had prime Eriksen.
I doubt wasting £60,000,000+ on Maddison is going to help our case. Sometimes, games don't go your way. Liverpool and Man City both struggled to create chances against us last season at times. And one of them has de Bruyne.
Wow. That's rude. Who says he sits on bench? Those games we struggle in are precisely the reason we don't get closer to competing. There's zero guarantee that wasting £60,000,000 on James Maddison and hoping he can come off the bench in one of the rare games we struggle to create chances is going to work.
Hopefully you realise how silly that sentence above sounds.
