Eze's the guy we should be interested in. He's got the skill set we are supposedly after, can play as an 8/10 hybrid, can also play wide attacker so should be easier to keep happy. He's much younger too.

Can carry the ball, transition it fro. midfield to attack, but can also see a pass. Scored plenty in the Championship too.
I'd love Eze but I don't see Palace selling him. If given the choice between the two I'd pick Eze as well, but I think Zaha is still a good pickup.

Zaha
20/21: 9 non penalty goals / 2 assists
21/22: 9 non penalty goals / 1 assist
Total: 18 non penalty goals / 3 assists

Son
20/21: 16 non penalty goals / 10 assists
21/22: 23 non penalty goals / 7 assists
Total: 39 non penalty goals / 17 assists
Of course Son has scored more goals, that was never my point.

I still think Zaha can be a great rotation option for us while not being as good as Son.

Kane, Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison, and Zaha would be comfortably the best and deepest attacking front in the league. City can bring Mahrez, Grealish, and Alvarez off the bench. We’d be at that level with that group.

Premier league ten goal seasons:

Kane: 8
Son: 6
Zaha: 4
Richarlison: 3
Moura: 1
Kulusevski: certainly looks like he’ll have a fair few.

None one else can match that level of goal scoring and that’s what wins league titles and is the reason we caught up to Woolwich last season.
So Zaha is Son's back up and Richarlison is Kane's back up?

Then we have a situation where we paid way too much for Richarlison who's not going to get much playing time as a back up CF. If he was brought in to compete for both LW and CF then it sort of makes sense but 60 million just for a back up striker is not good business.

City, Liverpool, United, and Chelsea have spent 50m+ on rotational players for years. That’s what proper top 4 clubs do and where we’ve failed for so long. You said we should be buying top 4 quality, having high quality for rotational is absolutely what top 4 and title contending clubs do.

Conte said we need another attacking player when Gil goes. Why should we not spend a lot for one? Whether it’s Zaha, Zaniolo, or someone else.

I understand where you're coming from but I think another attacking player is probably lower on the list of priorities right now. We need to address other areas. Our biggest concern for most games is our inability to get the ball up to the front 3. We need players that can handle pressure in our half and move the ball forward.

That’s fair, it just doesn’t seem like where our window is going though. Seems like Gil replacement and a CB is what is wanted.

Olise > Eze potential wise, also I think a better fit for the Deki/Zaniolo profile Conte seems to want.

Now, I’d love an 8/10 but it appears Conte doesn’t see it that way.

Excellent at what?

He's a one dimensional player who's rarely ever been consistent at that one dimension. So much waste and poor decision making, and at 29, that one dimension will start to fade soon.
His goals and assist record at a poor Palace team has been fantastic. And most of these goals aren't tap ins but solo efforts.
He's great on the counter, and also has a few intricate dribbles in his locker.

However we already have 2 LWs, and we need a player to break down a parked bus, so he's not the right fit for us at all.

I'd never heard of this kid- Georginio Rutter- before this weekend but good lord was his goal Saturday well taken. Might be worth a look- is 1.82m, 20 yrs old, French. Looks like a CF/RW type. Maybe Hoffenheim would be willing to sell/loan like with Udogie?

Good shout. Love Eze. Was sad we didn't go in for him two seasons back. He's super scrappy too.
