“Need things to drop into place, but there's truth in it.”

If we're gonna play Carrasco at RWB why don't we give them Emerson as part of the deal. If Atleti still play a back 4 he would be good for them. Do we really need all four of Emerson, Doherty, Spence and now Carrasco?

There we go, right on queue we find out who the real target is.

Very Perisic-esque signing this would be.

I like it as another addition that brings good physical traits, experience at the top level and versatility.

Would be a huge upgrade on Gil and could potentially make RWB his own (thought you'd imagine Doc would have to be moved on if this is the plan).

Son ---- Kane ---- Kulu
(Rich) ---- (Rich) ----- (Rich)
(Carrasco)-------(Son)--------(Carrasco)
(Lucas)-------------------------(Lucas)
(Perisic)----------------------(Perisic)
From a squad building perspective you can see the logic.
Imagine a scenario where our two CFs (Kane and Rich) are out, you could still run with a Carrasco, Son and Kulusevski front 3. Now that's depth.

“Just came to post to say there was truth in this and we are long term admirers but seen it's already been confirmed”

Of course Hotspur88 pipes up now on Spurs community. Another one bites the dust on the fraud website. Literally no shame these wankers. Where was the info before? Just need that cunt Hercules now along with Hotspur88 / Trix and we got a trio of cunts piping up reference this Carrasco latest.

I've read the Telegraph report, and it appears the plan is for Carrasco to be first choice RWB.

And I guess both him and Perisic being able to play either WF means that we have enough depth at WF despite losing Gil.
But surely this is the end of Doherty or Emerson's involvement in our season? 4 RWBs now.
Doherty yes but why Emerson?

He is currently our #1 RWB.

If Carrasco comes in and hits the ground running he will get the spot but the jury is still out on Spence so I wouldn't be so quick to assume he overtakes Emerson.

I think for this season we go with this as our wing back options, in order of priority:

LWB:
Perisic
Sess
Carrasco

RWB:
Carrasco
Emerson
Spence
Perisic

It's obviously all B.S. and not really worth our time and attention.

But I still don't get what people there get out of this?

Like, you only "learn" about stuff from "ITK" after it has been posted publicly by some of the biggest journos in the world.

Absolutely stunning that the guy received a whole bunch of 'informative' reactions for that. Was it informative? He just copied what actual journalists had already said. I'd love for the people who reacted to explain what information they got out of it.

Fucking dweebs.

I think we have to be a bit cautious as this Telegraph reporter, Jason Burt, wrongly claimed Madrid were in for Hojbjerg last week.

But yeah, if this is true, your post is onto something.

Strength in depth for front 3:
Kane (CF), Son (LW, RW), Kulu (RW), Rich (LW, CF), Perisic (LW), Carrasco (LW, RW), Lucas (RW)

We can safely sell Gil given the above, and frankly Lucas will not have to be used much either.

For WBs, we actually have too much strength in depth. Perisic Carrasco first choice WBs, with Sessegnon and Emerson as defensively solid rotations. Spence developing youngster. Doherty may as well leave.

The closest player comparison in Europe for Carrasco is actually already on our books. His name is Ivan Periśić.

Yes please. God, what a signing it would be.

Not commenting on his reliability but for all we know Madrid could have enquired and been shut down instantly.

I would assume one of Doc or Spence will go out on loan.

I know nothing about this guy. Is he like Perisic, but for rwb?
