Doherty yes but why Emerson?I've read the Telegraph report, and it appears the plan is for Carrasco to be first choice RWB.
And I guess both him and Perisic being able to play either WF means that we have enough depth at WF despite losing Gil.
But surely this is the end of Doherty or Emerson's involvement in our season? 4 RWBs now.
It's obviously all B.S. and not really worth our time and attention.luc1986

Of course Hotspur88 pipes up now on Spurs community. Another one bites the dust on the fraud website. Literally no shame these wankers. Where was the info before?
I wouldn't be surprised to see a deadline day loan for either Doc or Spence tbh.Yeah as much as I'm not an Emerson fan it seems very clear that Conte does like him. No idea who would come in for Doherty but he seems the obvious out option. No way can we end the window with Carrasco, Doherty, Emerson & Spence. Someone would have to make way.

I think we have to be a bit cautious as this Telegraph reporter, Jason Burt, wrongly claimed Madrid were in for Hojbjerg last week. There we go, right on queue we find out who the real target is.
Very Perisic-esque signing this would be.
I like it as another addition that brings good physical traits, experience at the top level and versatility.
Would be a huge upgrade on Gil and could potentially make RWB his own (thought you'd imagine Doc would have to be moved on if this is the plan).
Son ---- Kane ---- KuluFrom a squad building perspective you can see the logic.
(Rich) ---- (Rich) ----- (Rich)
(Carrasco)-------(Son)--------(Carrasco)
(Lucas)-------------------------(Lucas)
(Perisic)----------------------(Perisic)
Imagine a scenario where our two CFs (Kane and Rich) are out, you could still run with a Carrasco, Son and Kulusevski front 3. Now that's depth.
I'll give it 30 minutes.
Though assuming Perisic is out it's a toss up of whether you want a more attacking right or left side.
Not commenting on his reliability but for all we know Madrid could have enquired and been shut down instantly.I think we have to be a bit cautious as this Telegraph reporter, Jason Burt, wrongly claimed Madrid were in for Hojbjerg last week.
But yeah, if this is true, your post is onto something.
Strength in depth for front 3:
Kane (CF), Son (LW, RW), Kulu (RW), Rich (LW, CF), Perisic (LW), Carrasco (LW, RW), Lucas (RW)
We can safely sell Gil given the above, and frankly Lucas will not have to be used much either.
For WBs, we actually have too much strength in depth. Perisic Carrasco first choice WBs, with Sessegnon and Emerson as defensively solid rotations. Spence developing youngster. Doherty may as well leave.
