He's not a wingback so we would be buying a incredibly good fullback to play in a position that he is not used to.

Oval shapes in circular holes.
When you say this, do you mean he doesn't have the skillset for it, or do you mean he hasn't been playing that role in his time at Leipzig?

Because whilst there are fullbacks that aren't particularly suited to the wing back role, generally the two positions are pretty much interchangeable. It's only recently that people seem to be obsessed with distinguishing between the two, I blame the bloody Athletic and their tedious essays hipster nerdsplaining what is actually a relatively simple game of kicking t'ball into t'net.

think he will thrive here myself

got the build for this league and guaranteed goals at city
I'm on the knife edge here. Let's wait and see. I think we should hear from Zest Zest on this.. :mourweird:
Something about his endomorphic body type creatinine profile. I think it suggests a possible Andy Caroll confluence. 🤔 You can quote me on this, but only if the professor Z agrees.

The most obviously deal we've all been suggesting since Gio went there.

Gio plus 20m would do nicely. That would leave us spare change to go for another top CB and we would really be set.

De Vrij seems the cheapest option and I'd be happy with that. Not sure we could get P. Torres plus the likes of Bastoni/Skriniar/Gvardiol/Bremer in the same window.

Romero - De Vrij - Pau Torres

Would love a Gio plus cash deal for Torres - would improve our squad immediately.

We are interested in Idrissa Gana Gueye

Ugghhh, would bite PSG hand off for him.

Not one for next 10 years, but as an immidate upgrade he would be awesome.
has 1 year left on contract, 32 and from PSG, we could snatch him up for 5 mil
then go all out on more creative / passing CM, do proper scouting and pay up to 70 mil.
Sell Winks, Lo Celso and fucking fire fat piece of shit that is Ndombelly
Recall Sarr
Patch up Skippy

And have -
- superstar CM; Gueye; Skippy; Hjojberg; Bentancur; Sarr as our roaster.
If not enough time for him, then loan Sarr out.
But that would be helluva roaster to pick from. And midfield sufficient to field strong side to CL/EL/FA cup/Carabao as well.

Not sure what to think.

Good player but can be incredibly frustrating and his decision making can be poor.

Then again, home grown and has over 100 PL goals so perhaps I'm being unfair. He's 27 and has good pace, would prob offer a lot more than Bergwijn & Lucas.

He isn't getting another contract at City. He'd be on Son wages if he came here. Besides, what are his other options? Woolwich offer the same wages as us, Newcastle are still a couple of years away from being challengers, and Bayern or Barca have a very slim chance of going for him.

1) How credible is the source? I would honestly like to know.

2) We would have to be mad not to try to go for him.
But it seems very-very unlikely we would get him. Salary demands will be cosmic and I would see Chelsea, Manu, Bayern, Real, PSG and Barca all much more likely options. Money talks and all of them (maybe excl ManU) can also offer CL football...
It is nice to think that player would come to play under coach X but even footballers understand that contracts outlast managers. And if you can decide either to play for 25 mil more or less across contract, then they will pick the option that pays 25 mil more.

Zest Zest Haaland. He has had a boat load of injuries ankle and calf. Is there the possibility however small that his superhuman frame he has at a crazy young age works against him and he turns into Andy Caroll Mark two? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏 🙏 🤞🤞🤞🤟 Say its possible?

Course it will…

At a relative level, trouble is City have a good nutrition/recovery team, Walker…

Think he will snap, unless his frame is insanely well formed (high calcium and magnesium through youth, low sugar and crap oil bondages)…

Though he’d snap much quicker elsewhere than City, as Pep will structure his running intensity/patterns/areas (as Walker is shown).

Haaland, in frame and play, is the most explosive player since the real Ronaldo.

How did that work out? (Could of been soo different, if he only got some help kelp)

On metaphorical fire, these days… (that kelp, help, is soo deep! You know, his thyroid…)

I cannot see Conte given any guarantees and I don't see him wanting to leave City for us.
