overrated anyways....

if I remember it right, he rejected us last year because he wanted Champions League football, so he stayed at Villareal. Now he's singing a different tune.

We ended up with Romero, so it ended up working for the better.
Also got the feeling that he would look very average, at least defensively, in the Premier League. Bastoni would excite me much more.

Nah, that was Kounde.

Torres chose to stay at Villareal cos they had CL for the first time in 15 years and he's on of their own.
I don't think we're saying opposite things. Torres did reject our offer last summer cause he wanted to stay and play Champions League.

My point is now if he chooses United over us, it would sort of be hypocritical since he'd be picking EL over CL.

hes class. got a modric like elegance about him on the ball, that shit cant be taught. hes a number 10 imo not a winger.

Ehhh .. I dunno. He sort of reminds me of a Spanish Grealish but not as good. He dribbles past people a lot but lacks end product and doesn't have explosive pace. I don't think he gets his head up enough to play at 10 unless he dramatically improves that side of his game.

Him and Modric should never be mentioned in the same breath ever.

If he played for Woolwich we'd all be pissing ourselves over his lack of any end product.
of course comparison to modric is some praise as he's one of the greatest to ever play the game. but gil carved out a lot of chances even for us even in them shitty B games, problem is they fell to wasters like dele!!

like you say hes still super young and not yet fully developed physically. well see what happens but im certain hes going to be a gem. hes a playmaker, you cant teach that.

I doubt Conte will want to spend €100m+ on Nukunku when he, 1) does not normally use a CAM, and 2) got quality players in his attacking position...
RB Leipzig are not in need of money
And if Bayern are priced out then Spurs are, too.
If Conte did spend £85m Spurs will still have to spend on at least 2 WB, 1 LCB, 1 CM, 1 forward. Plus paying for Romero.

Looks like Utd have made the first move for SMS

Premier League side Man Utd have made their opening offer for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

The Serbia international contributed 11 goals and 11 assists in 37 Serie A matches as he had another outstanding season with Lazio finishing fifth in Serie A, one place ahead of arch-rivals Roma.

That form has again seen him routinely linked with a move to the Premier League with the Red Devils, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all linked this season.

However, it is Man Utd who continue to be linked extremely regularly and now La Reppublica (via Sport Witness) claim that the Red Devils have made an opening offer for Milinkovic-Savic of €55m (£47m).

The apparent bid was made to Lazio at the weekend but the report insists that it is still ‘far from the request’ of the Serie A club’s president Claudio Lotito, who is expecting a fee nearer €80m for his prized asset.

Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman is Milinkovic-Savic’s agent and it is understood to be his belief that a bid between €65m and €70m would do it.

And La Reppublica adds that there are more meeting scheduled ‘in the next few days’ over a potential transfer to Man Utd
.
Now this I'm disappointed by.

Cheers for the stats. You're right, definitely shocked me how few are scored!

I had a strong feeling about, but yeah it surprised me as well that the number were THAT low. Makes me wonder whether it's a combo of players on average being taller and this new weird concept of someone lying behind the wall to make sure, it can always jump. Making it difficult in the extreme to effectively get the ball over the and back down. There may have be an adjustment to the rule of how far away the wall is.

For now, I maintain that having someone who can flash it with precision and speed just above head height around the wall would be the best addition.
