Impressive, however, I think Rice would bring more to our squad.
Maybe he's not our best player, but given his attitude, does he really deserve to be called a wanker? Why exactly? He gives everything for our club every time he's asked - why the need to insult him in such a way? Without the 'wanker' surely your point would have been adequately made?
Better than the St Maximin (the latest 'favourite' possible recruit today) for last 3 or 4 seasons combined as well.
Puts things onto perspective when we look at the alternative players people want to talk about.
No idea why we didn’t for him when at hill. Same as grealish and Maddison when we had the chance. Young English players and wouldn’t have cost the earth at the time.

Tbf, he's a difficult player to judge.
His stats aren't good. You watch him, you see how influential he can be in a match, then you see him in the final 3rd and realize why his stats aren't good.

I'd prefer a back up striker/versatile forward (which is what Bowen is) as after Son/Kane/Kulusevski there seems to be a marked drop off in goals/assists (although I always hoped Bergwijn would step up)
At CM we currently have a choice of 3 for 2 positions in Bentancur, Hojbjerg and Skipp so we already have a perfectly adequate back up whoever plays.
Next season with CL I'd hope we play circa 60 matches (and for international players add another 10 matches potentially) so we do need to think about having more than just a first team - but a bench who are not to big a drop off from the first team in all positions.
