Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Tottenham are favourites to sign Middlesbrough's English defender Djed Spence, 21, with Nottingham Forest accepting he is unlikely to join them, having spent last season on loan at the City Ground. (Northern Echo)

Gleison Bremer to Tottenham Hotspur has just become a lot more complicated after speculation that Chelsea have entered the race.

It has been reported that Spurs would be trying to sign the Torino powerhouse if they could not convince Alessandro Bastoni to come to North London.

And with the Inter Milan defender apparently very happy at San Siro, Bremer is looking like Tottenham’s prime defensive target this summer.

But now Chelsea are involved – and very serious about signing him.

According Di Marzio last night, the Blues have submitted an ‘important proposal’ for the 25-year-old Brazilian rock.

Whoever gets him, Bremer is definitely the real deal.

TOTTENHAM NOW TARGETING £22M BRAZILIAN PLAYER LIVERPOOL REALLY LIKE
CHELSEA NOW MORE LIKELY THAN TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TO SIGN BRAZILIAN STAR
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote for CBS Sport last season about how the stocky defender ‘destroyed’ former Fiorentina hitman Dusan Vlahovic.

And any defender who can successfully shackle the now-Juventus marksman is someone who Tottenham and Chelsea are definitely going to want to sign this summer.

GLEISON BREMER TO TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR?
Even Spurs supporters might admit that the West Londoners are a bigger club.

But don’t rule out the Lilywhites from convincing Bremer to join them instead of Thomas Tuchel’s side.

This is a team who mean business this summer, having signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.

Tottenham are investing heavily in what promises to be a very exciting 2022-23 campaign under Conte and Bremer wanting to be involved in that cannot be discounted.
Makes sense for the Chavs, with Rudiger on his way. Which makes it even more important, if Bremer really is our target, to get this done. This isn’t 2013.

If I were Eriksen I'd look beyond Conte, who after all tends not to hang around.

He has a chance to finally win with Spurs, and to cement his place as a Spurs legend. That is worth something, not just now, but after he retires. He'd be passing through at Utd.

There is 0 chance of Eriksen signing with Utd if there’s an offer on the table from us.

1. London (wife and kids feel at home)
2. Champions League (personal ambition)

0 chance!

Agree.
The whole idea has to Be for current First team players to Be come the backup. Not for them to leave. Two strong players for each posotion plus a third flexible player eho can cover two positions.
For example:
Ben Davis - LCB and LB
Doherty would be the better RWB to keep though.

As average as he is, he’s still better than Royal, and he can also cover LWB too in an emergency.
His value is also much lower than Royal. Wouldn’t be worth selling him, whereas we could get 20 million plus for Royal it would seem.

Conte isn't looking to finish forth, third or even second. He has said as much many, many times; "I'm not used to fighting for a top four place, I'm used to winning".

Don't you get the feeling that things are different right now?
Exactly this. I’m not saying we will win the league but both the top two showed frailties last season. Conte sounds like he’s going to go for it, and so he should
