Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

RWBs we should look into:

1) Ridle Baku
2) Pedro Porro
3) Stefan Lainer
4) Wilfried Singo
5) Tariq Lamptey
6) Tino Livramento
7) Ricardo Pereira
8) Kyle Walker-Peters
9) Djed Spence
10) Manuel Lazzari

Ideally we would try to sign two of these players and get rid of both Royal and Doherty but that will never happen in one summer.
Now I'd be really keen to find out how you came up with that list, pal.

Cause if you've really followed them players for a while, I don't think your list would look like that...and if it did, well I sure am glad you ain't in charge of our transfer business.

And by following, I don't mean picking them of a top 50 RWB list you found via Google, followed by a quick transfermarket search and watching some highlights on YouTube

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else think this is a police matter rather than social services?

Look, if you're insecure about the size of your tits, get a boob job...but this monstrosity?!?

This is bordering on a criminal offence, no? :llorisunsure::contefacepalm2:

Is this really any worse than people who cover their faces in tattoos?

Kid is 19.

Kid has played only 20 ish pro games.

Spurs fans: yeah let's go all out for him. 50 mil? Splash it, Daniel!
I see what you mean and I did mention in another post that I don't want 1-season wonder youngster à la Wan Bissaka.
But this is where Spurs are right now: they need at least 1 new RWB, and they can't afford the ready-made top RB/RWBs out there. So they need to take their chances. If Livrament is given another season at Soton and turns out to be the "real deal" then he's out of Spurs' reach:
Spurs have already spent around £60M on so-called "ready-made" RB (Aurier, Doherty, Emerson), spending the funds received from Walker and Trippier. So either way, it's a risk to take - any transfer deal involves certain risks anyway.
Of course, Spurs with all their scouts should have a better knowledge of Livrament than I have - but from my stand, I'd say Livramento would be my first choice.
Who then would be the 1st choice: Cash, Spence, Isaiah Jones, Aarons, Bogle, Mukiele, Baku, Mæhle,
Jeremie Frimpong, Walker-Peters; Klostermann or Perišić?
Either one of them comes with certain risk factors and none of them apart from Perišić (who's a free agent soon), will come cheap...

If we could get Livramento for 15-20 mil, then yeah. But it'd be foolish to spend any more than that on a kid who's got one season under his belt.

I congratulate you for not mentioning Lamptey, though. Can't believe some on here say we should pull out all the stops to get him, even if that means splashing 60 mil.

Aaron Wan Bisska anyone? I know he's been struggling at Man Utd. but maybe - repeating maybe - he could improve under other circumstances - which Walker-Peters is an example of. KWP failed to impress 3 head-coaches - as well as the fans - but now he's doing well at Soton.

Wan-Bissaka for sale in summer
Manchester United will sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer, according to reports.
TEAMtalk understand that Ralf Rangnick is set to offload the full-back when he moves upstairs at the end of the season.
The ex-Crystal Palace man has been playing second fiddle to Diogo Dalot since the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.

Reason Utd have gone off him is because he offers fuck all offensively. Last thing we need.

Konrad Laimer would be a great addition. Almost the best we could hope for in that position imo. He'd walk into our first team. Very good presser, excellent at winning possession and great at moving the ball forwards. He's what we hoped Højbjerg would be. Get rid of Winks and possibly Højbjerg.

As unlikely as it is, Ward-Prowse would be perfect. We're dying for a dead ball specialist, if I have to see Kane take one more fucking free kick I might just end it all. He's also someone who will create chances, which we're desperate for.

JWP is a really fucking below average midfielder with great set pieces. As a footballer he's no better than Winks. very big no thanks.

Why oh why would Bremer come to Spurs when he's got pretty much all the elite clubs after him?
He’s most closely linked to Inter, and we have equal if not better pull than them if Conte is still our manager.

And 30mil, you're dreaming AGAIN
Italian media reported that the Torino president has set a price of 40 million euros which is 33 million pounds.

Gouiri would've no interest in Spurs
Why not? Did he tell you this?

I doubt he'll cost less than £25-30M.
Some Spurs seem to believe that all a WB needs to do is bomb up and won the wing and defending comes second. Wrong. Anyway, Lamptey hasn't really impressed as a strong defender, he's injury prone and would cost close to $45-50M.

Trim the list down a bit..... What ones do you consider genuinely good enough to be a starter for us for the next few years or more?

(I've crossed a few off and explained why; which leaves the ones I don't know enough about.)
The first 2 I know very well and wouldn't cost 50m+ like Lamptey or Livramento, I'd sign one of Baku or Porro in a heartbeat. Both are already class players and very young. Porro is on loan from City unfortunately so would be hard to sign but Baku should be #1 on our shortlist.

I would then get Lazzari or Spence as backup, but it will most likely still be Doherty or Royal knowing Tottenham

And who would you come up with? The list isn't in order if thats what your problem is, other than the first two who I have watched extensively for Sporting and Wolfsburg respectively

Dortmund's finances are in serious troubles coming out of the pandemic according to Bild. And they are apparently open to selling up towards 11 players in the summer to get back on their feet. Bild lists the following players as for sale: Bürki, Pongracic, Zagadou, Akanji, Schulz, Brandt, Can, Witsel, Wolf, Hazard and Reinier.

I should think Haaland and Bellingham will possibly take care of a big chunk of that, even with Haaland's 75m buy out. Wouldn't surprise me if RM take Bellingham too.
