Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Diaz is a terror for Liverpool and hasn’t much more muscle than Gil. I watch almost all the Valencia games since Gil went there. He is closer than some appear to think on here.

Often thought that, Dias looks epic (and is clearly), because he's given exactly the right run n rest demands, they cycle attacks. Gil was just a magnet until burned out in 20 minutes, in our disorganised mess he was being dropped into.

His lower body to core looks fine, and, it needs real care adding weight to carry for jinky runners up top (would rather he be left to mature, not sure he's stopped growing by his looks, just core core core, no pushing it to bulk IMO). He's a potential Bernardo Silva, quick minds and great vision don't need muscle (Eriksen, barely won a 50/50 in his Spurs career, mostly didn't need to cause he knew space).

Just games to build resilience, and, more awareness of tank management.

Bullshit, we got Conte and London, plus Levy Enterprises.

We may not be tier 1, but we never were, with Poch at our Crescendo we were never at that table.

We are still tier 2 career move, for most every player on earth.
Hmm you start with bullshit but then you pretty much agree with me.

Confused much?🤣

Naaa, mine's in an upbeat view, that to most we are still better than all but Madrid, Utd, City, Barca.

Europe, eurschmopa, matters not. We pay high wages (compared to all even Dortmund types), as said have London, top Coach, Top Stadium, just clearly in transition.

If Conte gets 3 players he's in the press saying "these are the types we build around", early summer, watch the mood completely shift (don't think this will happen!), to most players thinking "Conte's getting his way at Spurs, I want in".

The man is a trophy magnet and career enhancer, in the most part. Just gave bullshit to the downbeat tone, you made it sound like we've slipped in appeal when mostly we just haven't (it's applying our perception, rightly, to others who can't see that same picture = most aren't Spurs, so don't truly know how shit a career move it likely is!).

I always assumed that Gil was brought in to be an alternate, and maybe longer term replacement, for Son - both creating and scoring goals. Might take a season or two to get to Son's numbers of course

Do you think he'll be ready for that role at Spurs next season - turned 21 last month ?

Naaa, would like him to get another season, would like ideally it to be a Brentford (progressive type), who promise to build around him/make him key player.

But think it better he stays Spain another season for him (but that he won't want to come back if 18months away, so maybe not us).

At Spurs don't see him getting enough pitch time, to find fluency and let go of that "gotta impress" vibe that hindered him (along with bedding in with possibly our worst second 11 in decades this season, poor lad!).

Difficult one, as in 2 years, the boy clearly should be an joy for us on the pitch.

Isn't the idea that Spurs can just cherry-pick the "best-of-the-rest" from the bottom-half PL clubs a bit... old-fashioned?

With the record-setting new TV deals and the new club ownership/group profile, it seems like poaching players from intra-league rivals is either b/c: a player pushes for a move, new club pays old club ++++++£££££££££, or BOTH.

This doesn't seem like a progressive approach.

Many clubs have clauses in player contracts allowing the club to reduce salaries in the event a club gets relegated from Pl to Championship.

Equally the money a club can earn in the Championship is way less than it could in PL so to cut its wages bill a number of players are often sold.

Either way there will be good players in a 'forced sale' situation so sold at 'good values' - especially for players with PL experience (faster and requires more power than most overseas leagues)

So if a player becomes available in a position we want, the player (s) on sale can be a decent option - Robertson (LWB Hull to Liverpool) is a good example of a player we should have bought.

I'd have preferred the Brentford type loan to get accustomed to PL pace and physicality rather than Valencia.

If he needs another loan next season it seems to be we have £x million tied up in a player, and less available for the transfer funds potentially - unless loan fee bigger than the instalment on transfer fee plus salary. But that's the route we might need to take ?

Would love him to be melded into a coherent AMC by the summer, so he could fit, but I can't see him displacing Kulu (think he's much more talented, but much less Conte).

Think selling high is Levy/Paratici's goal, he seems a moneyball type, so ill fitting to our needs (last summer RWF was the hole, Bale/Lamela).

Just hope we get it right, would suit me if we got Toney from them (type scenario) and gave them Gil on loan in the deal. Basically we could go after the best HG we see a profile fit for, at this level of club (Brentford/Fulham), give them a better team by loaning them Gil, while rebalancing ours?

Anyway, pie in the sky, just don't wanna see him end of season 3 being disgruntled, after such promise fades on our bench...

Agree he' looks like he could be a 'money ball' type signing - but the obvious clubs to sign him are Spanish, and only Madrid and Barcelona would (historically) have the money required to sign him.

If that came off and we got say £60m+ I'd be delighted. But odds of doing it seem really low to me

If he stays I don't think he needs to displace Kulusevski, just to be an alternate as we are short of forwards and 3 of those will be in the 29/30 age next season

Phillips, Raphina, Bissouma, (charges permitted)Romanogli Spence,Devirj, Lamptey. Bolded as a priority all are gettable with a club genuinely committed to backing Conte.. If we are serious Paratici needs to get four of this in at once.
You’ll be lucky with patrici. Even though his now working in PL he prbly knows f all about players here and will still look to Italy. Obv I hope he can spread his net wider.

Aaron Wan Bisska anyone? I know he's been struggling at Man Utd. but maybe - repeating maybe - he could improve under other circumstances - which Walker-Peters is an example of. KWP failed to impress 3 head-coaches - as well as the fans - but now he's doing well at Soton.

Wan-Bissaka for sale in summer
Manchester United will sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer, according to reports.
TEAMtalk understand that Ralf Rangnick is set to offload the full-back when he moves upstairs at the end of the season.
The ex-Crystal Palace man has been playing second fiddle to Diogo Dalot since the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.
Same player as Emerson. Decent one on one defensively. But mediocre going forward.

He's the same type of fullback as Emerson Royal, very average and not an upgrade

Wing backs are said to be a weakness at Spurs - and probably since we had Rose and Walker.

Tonight we saw Reguilon score, Kulusevski get 2 assists and Doherty get an assist...... not sure Sessegnon gets the assist for an own goal ! But involvement in all 5 goals.

I know Everton were a soft target but we can see how Conte is trying to get them to play - and a goal and 3 assists (could have been 4 assists) tonight is a very good return from wing backs.

realistic targets from the premiership I am totally sold on are:

Lamptey (minus his injury record), Bissouma and Sarr from Watford.

I also like the look of Broja, think Richarlson would be very effective for us and think we should bring in Dean Henderson long term.
