Trippier was sold would have been a big upgrade for us and helped with set pieces that is a problem.
Mazaouri is out of contract at the end of the year so likely could have been bought.
Many rumours of Lazzari being available to us specifically.

That is 3 upgrades off the top of my head. So yes easy to name options and I am not even paid for this shit.

I would ask again do you really think that there were zero RWB's available for us to buy?

Yes exactly three teams below us with less appeal and financial room were able to bring guys in. It should have been easier for a club like us to do it.

Nope you might of missed this because it would require reading but I addressed Dele and didn't count him.

Coutinho, Trippier, Guimaeres, Digne all easily walk into our side. Chris Wood adds much needed goals to help when we are done and to give Kane/Son a rest.

Plus the argument is that teams don't bring in that many players which I clearly showed that they do.

Never played play station in my life and this is the most pathetic response losers make when they have no argument.

I have shown that the real world it is possible to do what I suggested so once again your argument is blown out of the water and you continue to look like an idiot.
Yeah, three teams below us were able to ‘strengthen’ — working out great for Everton by the way. Yet, the three teams involved in a scrap for the money (4th spot and the golden ticket to UCL ) couldn’t.
Let me guess why ?

They all had cheap greedy owners and a terrible scouting department who couldn’t identify their needs.

Couldn’t possibly be because there was a dearth of CL quality players available.

No, because someone at ‘Caught Offside’ said that Lazzari was available. Supposedly, several clubs targeted Lazzari yet he stayed put. Obviously, Lazio, also looking for European football, were desperate to unload.

As for Coutinho, he was definitely offered around and there were equally reliable reports that Conté didn’t want him. Trippier, a 31 year old, isn’t walking into any team and probably won’t for the rest of the season.

January is a real merry-go-round for top talent

Do yourself a favor, actually talk to someone in a front office or an owner or both.

Igula Igula I actually think all 4 wingbacks need to go.

None of them are good enough for what is an incredibly important position under Conte's system.

What did you think of Rose and Walker before Poch arrived. Tbh I wasn't a fan of either, especially Rose and I wouldn't have minded at all if both were sold back then and better players brought in.

I think Royal is a good defender and is better suited to a back 4. Reguilon has more about him than Rose had before Poch arrived. Sessegnon is still young and has injury issues. The problem we have right now is that we have a manager on a short term contract who needs full backs with certain characteristics that our current ones don't offer. If the club sells the four we have and buys four who better suit Conte's tactics and then Conte walks out in a years time then what do we do? The club has to think about what philosophy it wants to follow, a style of play, a particular formation, bit like Ajax who have an identity and every coach that comes in generally has to follow that identity. This requires a plan, long term thinking and unfortunately that is not how Levy has run the footballing side.

We need:
Top class centre half
CL quality rwb
CL quality lwb
Top class centre mid
Cl quality forward.

I reckon we maybe get a decent rwb and a couple of prospects

Agree with the list, and on that basis I think Levy can forget about claiming to be a major club that competes for accolades (per his public letter).

We must all accept that looking forward we are a mid table to Europa league side.

And fans of larger, more successful clubs are right when they say spurs are irrelevant.

*cue barrage of abuse - "shameful attitude, you're not a real fan!!!"

When Luis Diaz' father says spurs' hesitancy was their downfall, I think that's pretty telling.
Except there’s every indication that it wasn’t.

Liverpool had courted Diaz for a year. Every pundit said he was going to Liverpool in summer and Spurs’ efforts just accelerated the move. There’s an SI article that you can easily google in December ( before the window opened) where his AGENT — not his Dad but the guy who gets paid to create the megamoves— links him to Liverpool. Does anyone really believe that if a Spurs offer had come in then the same person wouldn’t have speed-dialed Anfield?
The only people who don’t believe he was always going to Liverpool are those with a pre-conceived narrative. There’s enough to fault our recruiting for without making shit up.

You’re probably right.
Across the European leagues, success is inextricably linked to revenue.

Our revenue puts us 5th. With Woolwich getting back to CL, they will probably overtake us ( at least temporarily) and will be 6th. In a couple of years , Saudi investment in Newcastle drops us to 7th and depending on what happens at Chelsea maybe 6th.
If we’re better than a 5th -7th club, we’re punching above our weight. That would mean that our management would have to improve significantly.

In a nutshell.
The best business we can and must do this summer is tie Harry Kane down to another long term contract.
