Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Except there’s every indication that it wasn’t.

Liverpool had courted Diaz for a year. Every pundit said he was going to Liverpool in summer and Spurs’ efforts just accelerated the move. There’s an SI article that you can easily google in December ( before the window opened) where his AGENT — not his Dad but the guy who gets paid to create the megamoves— links him to Liverpool. Does anyone really believe that if a Spurs offer had come in then the same person wouldn’t have speed-dialed Anfield?
The only people who don’t believe he was always going to Liverpool are those with a pre-conceived narrative. There’s enough to fault our recruiting for without making shit up.

I think in times where we ask for solid evidence, a quote from a player's father is about as fair as we'll get.

Yes, Liverpool had laid the groundwork.

Buy why would his dad subsequently indicate that spurs had a chance if they never actually did.

No it isn't good. We weren't better after the window, the issues we needed addressing before the window weren't addressed.

The BS that we can't do business in the January window is BS.

If we had added players we needed we are easily in the top 4 right now. Might not be enough to keep us there long term but for this year and how weak the race for top 4 is we easily could have been in top 4 had we had a good window.

Oh shut the fuck up.

CRY MORE!

To pass the buck to Spurs rather than his son.

All the details of the deal were agreed with Spurs, his agent then leaked all the details to Liverpool as that was his preferred club.
Liverpool then matched Spurs offer and the player chose Liverpool.

If the agent had not leaked the details, or Liverpool had not made an offer he would have become a Spurs player.

If Spurs had agreed the deal on January 1st, it would still have been the same outcome.

I could see Vidal being a possibility this summer

Old yes, but watching him vs Liverpool last week, he had a good bit to offer and has working with Conte before.

His know-how could be useful .

frimpong looks good from leverkusen rb

quick pacey and very good upside 21 too

I like Frimpong alot, but he's not ready to start in the Prem at RWB against Chelsea/Scum/etc right now, which is what we really need badly. If we were auditioning a second choice I'm all with you brother.

I'm really hoping Levy gets on his hands and knees and says he is sorry to KWP, begs his forgiveness and brings him home to Spurs, we sell Emerson to somebody, and buy some other prem ready RWB stud (I don't know who though).

Mr. Romero is pretty reliable for Barcelona news.

TBH. I'd be quite happy with that. Memphis is a much better player than he was at United. More well rounded and able to play both as a winger, a 10 and as a striker.

We want some creativity and he would certainly provide that.

He’s okay. How’s he been for Barca?

Not a huge fan of the ‘bits and pieces’ type player though. We stockpile these winger/10/striker profiles that do lots of things adequately, but nothing brilliantly.

10 goals and 2 assists in 19 games. Missed a fair bit of the start of 2022 with a hamstring and Achilles injury it seems. He's mainly been used as a striker because of Aguero's forced retirement.

EDIT: According to transfermarkt he has more or less converted to a striker over the last two years or so. But I think that he would slot in well in the position that Son has next to Kane. And give Son some much needed rest.
