Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't normally get excited by players' video compilations but I like this guy's strength, aggression and confidence. And he likes to get forward.
Same. Immediately noticed his composure in front of goal. Even Romero is very much a defender once faced with a chance to shoot. I've always been envious of how Liverool's back line score so much.

Problem is of course that the higlights don't show obvious positioning errors, Sanchez moments etc. Still, a CB doing a Bale style run straight through the middle of the pitch is very rare.

Hypothetically...

Out:
Sanchez: 20m
Lo Celso: 30m
CCV: 8m
Ndombele: 25m
Sess: 10m
Lucas: 15m
Winks: 10m
Total in: 118m (conservative estimate)

In:
Kulu: 30m (loan to permament)
Romero: 40m (loan to permanent, or is it already done?)
Gvadriol: 50m
LWB: 30m
Bale
Eriksen
Out: 140m

very plausable "net spend" of just 32m to have both quality and depth.

Conte wants to challenge next season and he does that at Inter by bringing ready veterans. Not something that Levy will appreciate.

Expect to see afew free transfers. Cuadrado, Ekrisen, Rudiger, Dyabala.

I'm sure he didn't like being here, and given the stuff Doherty said, it's not hard to understand.

We were a fucking toxic mess under late era Poch and Mou.

Still, I find it hard to believe he deliberately played badly for us.

I'd be happy to sell him for a high price, especially if it gets us Pau Torres or something, but I'd not be too upset if he came back.
Gio obviously tried early on in his spell with us. He was our best player not named Kane or Son for a period under Jose.

I just think that as we shipped out more and more of our Argentines he got more uncomfortable. And when Lamela, who seemingly was the alpha Argentine and kept the rest in check, went to Sevilla he well and truly lost his drive.

In all fairness, all the options are good. I hate comparing players. All I see that they are young with lots of potencial, so either one of them would be a great signing. That's it.

What Is That GIF by PermissionIO

Where is new striker? Do you think Rodon will stay? We may need a new CM, also new back-up goalkeeper. Bergwijn has much more of a chance to leave, than Lucas, too.

In my mind a front line of Son, Berg, Kulu, or Son, Bale, Eriksen can do a perfectly good job. We'd still have Bale/Eriksen/Gil as attacking subs.

We scored 30 goals in 2022. Our defence is the big priority.

Transfers will be 21-25, and we'll do a couple of veteran frees to keep Antonio happy (plus we will have space on the wage bill).

Rudiger would be amazing, though not sure how well our fans would take it.

Bale and Eriksen in? It’s 11am and I’m off my head already but I still can’t figure that out.

Why not? Free, experienced, known quantities, both bring something we don't already have.

Bale would be used sparingly to beat down mid/lower table teams like he did under Mou. Eriksen could rotate with Kulu or replace PEH/Benta to relieve some of the creative burden on Kane. He's also a goal threat far beyond anything Benta/PEH can dream of.

It's the easiest way to get some quality depth in the side.

Emeron & Doherty fine for you for another season?

Completely jettisoning what was universally considered our #1 priority (a RWB) solely on the basis of a run of a handfull of decent games from MD isn't the wisest idea.

Fair enough. Ideally keep Doc, sell Emerson, get a new RWB.

Priority is LWB > RWB > LCB > CM. What do you think?

Brutal. I didn't think we were that far from filling the HG reqs...

Sad but true. Under UEFA definitions :

Club trained
Kane, Winks, Tanganga, Austin (and next season Skipp over 21) - Minimum 4

Trained by other clubs affiliated to The FA :
Sessegnon (Minimum 8 including Club Trained to have a full 25 man squad)

So if, for example, we wanted to upgrade Winks and give Tanganga a solid season of playing (he has made 23 PL appearances in 3 seasons, 48 in all comps), we would have a total of 4, implying a squad (with the maximum of 17 overseas trained players) of 21 players over age 21. If we do neither of those, we have 6 HG players and can have a squad of 23 players over the age of 21.

Of course that excludes a few youngsters at the club, albeit without much experience, who might bolster numbers.

Very encouraging list of LCB's.. might be crazy but I wouldn't be super surprised if Davies is a decent rotation at LWB as well as LCB in Conte's system. He doesn't have great attacking skill as a LB, but in a system that hands opportunities to the wing back his delivery and touch could make him a useful player there.

Schlotterbeck by far my favourite of the options mentioned, though I haven't seen much of Gvardiol.
