The Gabriel Jesus links are really promising. I think he would be a perfect addition to our forward line. The issue is, will City even deal with us after the Kane fiasco? One look at the blue moon forum and the manc pricks are still bitter. Don’t want to entertain our bids.

It's personal to the fans, but it's just business to the clubs.

They would 100% deal with us.

Unlikely, but if we could get Jesus and Sterling in, our attack next season would be up there with the very best.. In terms of quality and depth.

Sterling isn't an essential as much as a LWB,CB, ST and RWB is, but if there is a deal to be done, I'm on board.

Eriksen seems like a total no-brainer to me. Still performing at a high level in this league, knows Conte and his methods, knows the club and would likely accept a rotation role. On a free transfer, this is the perfect squad player.
I want him back but not sure he would want rotational role. After what he went through I imagine he would want to play as many 90 mins as possible

Watch games instead of stats

Again this shit.

Forwards have to score or create goals - pretty simple fact. While WATCHING games, one could make such an observation.
If one would actually WATCH the games, they would see that Moura keeps running about but ending up between 3 defenders and giving the ball away. He gets lot of screen time while doing this. But this is where it all ends.

Though most people have come to this understanding with Kulu joining.
Third player that can actually score and set up is major asset and now everyone can see that starting with Moura instead of Kulu is close to starting with 10 players.

TBH, from a purely pragmatic perspective; if they fear us gaining ground on them then they may be reluctant to sell to us.

They'd no doubt prefer him to go abroad if possible(*) and my guess is that there's a CL club out there that would consider making him a starter; which is the player's aim in all this.

....Which obviously counts Arse out and possibly us as well.

(*As we've seen from Levy in the past; a lesser price to avoid selling to a competitor holds a certain appeal.)

Are any of the targets we're linked with good at getting free kicks on target? We've been so non-threatening in that area for what feels like forever. Think that would be massive.

It's overvalued imho. Ronaldo was for the longest the gold standard, and it's the one thing where his age should have zero impact. When was the last you saw him put a direct free kick in? It's just a fan thing, not a practical thing, because it looks awesome.

If it was up to me, then any free kick, that isn't dead center of the goal, should be whipped with pace towards the far corner with people running across trying to get a nick on it.

Curiosity got me, and I just checked. This season: Ward-Prowse 4, Trippier 2, and no one else above 1. 2020/21: Ward-Prowse 4, no one above 1. It's a non-factor and not something we should base our transfers on at all.

City are not going to do business with us if it helps improve our squad. We have mugged them off twice with the fee and negotiations for Walker and Kane. Pep especially hates us.

Ten Haag will struggle at United because their moronic fans and the obsessive media will demand United sign big names rather than the players needed to improve them.
They are quite literally the football team equivalent of a complete idiot with a massive dick waving it around thinking people are impressed.
Ten Haag will struggle to manage with the wrong players. Alternatively, the fans will be invading the stadium if they sign a bunch of young "nobodies" that he could potentially make a team out of.
I'd like to see it work out though. The more good teams, the more exciting and interesting the PL will become rather than 2 teams chasing the title. The more the merrier and I'm hoping after the summer transfers, we'll be right in there challenging for the top spot.

I think we have massively missed the type of goals Bale can and freely does score. IE, 30 yarders from nowhere and direct free kicks.
He is perfectly capable of being the player to score a goal to win a game against a side that sits in their own box playing for a 0-0
He doesn't have to be plan A. He just needs 10-15 minutes most games and potentially start in games where we're going to be up against a wall for 90 minutes.
1 year deal with an option for another.

Eriksen I'm not so sold on. He annoyed me with his absence in his last season+ for us.
We did forgive Harry for his behaviour last season. I don't see why we can't forgive CE as well....

H, Sonny, Kulu, Gareth and Eriksen = goals, goals and more goals...

Now Son is top scorer. I'm almost tempted to regard H as an AMF...a real 10 and not a 9.
