The timing...this is for players. This is potentially brillaint news. It suggests that what we've joked about, Lewis injecting some cash into the club at this critical point in time, has actually happened. He (enic) get more shares as a result - that's neccesary as otherwise enic pay and other shareholders benefit unfairly.
If it was a different time of year I might agree it is some kind of development off field but I think the timing is a good indicator of what this money will be used for.
That and whatever we can get for the likes of Lo Celso, Ndombele, Royal, Regulion, Carter-Vickers, Winks, Lucas, Bergwijn and maybe Bryan Gil, Rodon and Sanchez.
Yes I think we only ever got a loan of £40m and high we paid back to Joe. This would be different.
If we can get a few frees like Eriksen and Perisic we can seriously go big on elite players.
Plus CL money and ordinary income from PL+TV money+stadium+events
Must be getting on close to 400m with that combination.
