Wow, we could actually be in for a very real bit of fun here. It's always been a flurry of activity at the end of the window, but is this the sign of a new day?

Meetings taking place with Conte, team publicly announces financing in place for investment into the team, and Paratici probably already has some irons in the fire both for incomings and outgoings. Would be unbelievable to have Conte commit, start doing our business early, and give him the majority of the break to work with the current team and onboard the new players.

I also wonder if this is also part of the plan to get Kane to sign a new deal...

And naming rights hopefully

Wouldn't get too excited about that..... I doubt Lewis would be digging into his own pocket if that was imminent.

Besides.....It was never a good idea to do that deal whilst in our recent slump..... Even now 1 season of CL doesn't do much on a perception level.... Re-qualify next year and elite players, other clubs and the commercial world will start to take notice again.

I won't pretend to have watched him a lot, but having watched him in the Europa final, I did have some concerns so maybe someone who has seen him more can break down.

His number of assists are impressive, however the commentator said he was first in the number of crosses into the box during the Europa campaign, but watching his crosses they were often hit blindly and almost constantly. So are his numbers actually good, or is it just a reflection of the shear number of balls he pumps into the box?

He also seemed to lack composure overall, he seemed to be their main attacking threat but was pretty rash with his decisions and shooting.

It was a final, so in fairness to him I imagine the occasion played a part but overall I didn't come away thinking he was a sign at all costs type of player.

If the intention was to rotate between him, and Sessengnon then I think it would be a fantastic signing for a comparatively cheap fee.
Agree …. (Apart from your concluding contradictory paragraph) I thought he was bang average

People on here seem to rave about him so maybe they watch Frankfurt

Back to actual players for a moment. I know the Eriksen nostalgia is high and I love the guy, but I think we could get a younger person in that could do that job. Let's not forget that he is 30 with a bad ticker.
