FML how do people pay money for this shit

The people on that site never fail to amaze me

I can’t fathom the thought process behind believing these blaggers

How do these people survive in the real world ?

They're simpletons. I bet a lot of them are of the age where they spent a lot of time reading transfer news on teletext and bought the Sun every day. And believed every single word of it.
They get a buzz out of the excitement of being linked to players and the con artists running the site know it.
All it takes is a deliberately timed wobble on the site reliability and a claim they need money to keep it running and all the addicts come running with their money. They need that buzz like a crack head needs their fix.

I'd still prefer Bissouma & Eriksen for significantly less combined fee and wages.
Yes 2 proven PL players for £30M. That is smart biz. Not sure we haven’t wrapped up eriksen yet. YB just need to wait on his trial then depending on that get him if ok.
This leaves plenty in the pot for other additions plus the money raised from sales. These would break wage structure either. If we had perisic, YB and ericksen in the bag that improves already to another level. Even without other signings.
Like I said this should be a no brainier for us. Smart transfer activity like we use to do.

We should absolutely make a run for Jimenez. In addition to striker, I honestly think he can plan that AM/second striker role Son's playing. He could be a player that thrives in Conte's system and could compete for playing time and rotate with Son/Kane/Kulu. He's a proven player that's pretty versatile and well rounded. My guess is we could get him for 20 million. Absolute steal.

He'd get less playing time playing for us but we have CL football to offer and I don't think he'd be a player that plays 20 minutes a game. He'd definitely compete for a starting position, every week.

In the article, it says "the Mexican aims for guaranteed first-team football ahead of the World Cup." Spurs is certainly not his club of choice then.

This is it though; so long as we fix the WBs and stay 343; I don't think G&A from CM is as important in this team... We need press-resitance and ball retention.

Even if we shift to 352 at times; I'd rather Bissouma & Eriksen for about 30-40m(*)..... I think Kulu could also adapt to that Eriksen-role in a 3 too.

(*Added bonus; this would leave another 30-40m on the table for us to plow into a FWD too.)
Exactly not sure we have to keep going back to juve and inter. Posted already these would be perfect without breaking the bank. If they go elsewhere and be successful then it’s our own fault. We should already have a deal in place for YB based on his trial outcome.

My favorite part of the Pogba saga was throughout his worthless shitty career at United these last 5 years, almost every pundit under the sun still called him world class and defended him.

Rio was prime culprit never been a more instant based pundit

No disrespect to Tottenham - European Super League royalty, best stadium in England without an NG postcode, chicken badge, etc - but if Djed has a choice between Spurs and Forest I suspect he’s going to choose the latter.

He comes across as quite an introverted character despite appearances. He was alienated at Middlesbrough and said that he just wanted to go somewhere where he could enjoy his football again. He’s repeatedly said that he loves it at Forest, where he can truly develop his talent. Cooper is a top coach for young players and has built an amazing team spirit. Our style of play suits him. And Djed’s Mum also loves Forest and led our pitch invasion. So all signs are that he’d stay with us rather than sit on your bench and that would be the right thing for his career, IMO.

Basically, what I am saying is:

Warnock gave us Spence and said ‘he’s shite, he’s shite’,
Warnock gave us Spence and said ‘he’s shite, he’s shite’,
Colin thought that Spence was shite,
But now he’s f**king dynamite,
And we all love Djed Spence down at the City Ground!
This one’s still drunk from their promotion party. I respect the boldness though, it’s funny. Getting promoted for the first time in decades and running in here is like having a car that never starts and then the moment it does you’re doing doughnuts up and down the street.

The fact he’s not first choice at wolves tells you everything. They scored roughly a goal a game last season. Not the same since the injury, was probably the best forward in the league after the elite Kane, Salah, Aguero etc.

His agent would probably persuade him that it's the right move for his career...

That depends on when the trial is though (I could not find the court date), as the problem is that while waiting for his case Spurs could miss out on other targets - and if he is found guilty, well...
Thus said, Bissouma is certainly one "affordable" CM I'd like Spurs to sign. Manu Kouadio Koné is another CMF I like but he is untested in the EPL.

Firstly, congratulations on your promotion. Glad to have you back with the big boys. Its about fucking time.

Secondly, Spence rejecting Tottenham would be like me rejecting the chance of having sex with Jeri Ryan.

Never going to happen.

The ONLY reason he’d choose your shit club is because he may feel he’s not ready to step up to the big time just yet.

But that’s it 😎

Now you seem to have gotten lost. This here’s a spurs forum.

I’ll let it pass this once. Just this once. Only once can I or should I let it pass.

Now fuck off.

Plenty of people have expressed a wish for a forward. And we've been linked to people like Nkunku and Terrier (and others I think just those two stick in my mind)

Personally I want one that can play wide (or at least off centre) and dow the middle, so we can go for better quality than just a back up CF, who by definition will almost certainly be a worse option than Kane and spend most of the season sitting on the bench and only getting used for 10 minutes when we are 1-0 down and desperate.

If we get a decent wide/CF type they can get plenty of game time, so we can hopefully attract a better quality player (because they know they'll get game time), whilst also providing the first team with a genuine "change things up" option, rotation and in game (the new player or if he plays being able to bring on Son, Kane or Kulusevski etc).

Depending on the specific circumstances but if it would not cost a fortune, I would in fact take "Kane-light" into the squad. There are 3 reasons for that -

- it will be a World Cup year, and Kane will carry heavy load for England - he might need some time to come back to his best form after the tournament ; now if his alternative goes there as well, at least his playing time will be lot less...
- from next year we will have 5 subs rule - I think that Kane substitution would get lot more minutes in end of games, if there are more subs allowed in the future, compared to 3 subs.
- Kane will be 29 soon, and it might be that if next season will not be that brilliant as we all hope, he could look for a move in next summer. It would be best to have at least some kind of alternative that has already played in the system and in the squad.

I am still not convinced about Spence. IMO it's more about his personality rather than his abilities/skill set.
Of course, stats can misrepresent the real picture. Some may say that Conte will improve his crosses (which may be so) and set his personality "straight" but Conte isn't a miracle man; otherwise, Ndombele would run around the pitch like a "mad man" and be a world-class player by now.
