Got a bit of ITK for you lot.

There’s a person we want to sign, this is all I can tell you:

Male
Between 16-35 years old
Is a footballer

That’s all I can say for now (the person we sign next is who i’m talking about)

Guehi is good! Haven't seen enough to know if he'd be comfortable foraging forward on the left of a back three.

Bremer is a complete defender and monster in opposition box. Don't think he's a great fit for lcb but could be wrong, maybe he's better on the ball then I've seen.

I don't know really, I think we're forging on for this season with Dier as first choice ccb.. so maybe just spend big on a lcb whoever that might be. Hopefully Bastoni or Gvardiol.. Lisandro Martinez could be a good fit, wish he was a few inches taller.
Cheers 👍

I was thinking we buy Guehi as a potential LCB as he seems very two footed, and has also played LB at U18 level.
Bremer as cover for both Dier and Romero? I think Rodon and Sanchez may be sold.

What's your analysis on Gvardiol? Obviously very highly rated in Bundesliga, but I've only seen him in Europa vs Rangers where he looked bad.

And right here is an example of a selective highlights reel. It doesn’t show the other 60+ hours of his Spurs career, strolling around and sighing at the prospect of any hard work.

Based on this video, and if I didn’t know any better, I’d be saying we should be signing this baller…
We all love to bash mourinho but that man put an ungodly amount of effort into getting Ndombele working.

If it didn't work after all that, what hope is there for him?

Amend the numbers and the total still comes to some 60+ games....before internationals. - which is the fundamental point
It doesn't. 38 PL + 8-10 CL + 4 LC + 5 FA cup = 57 games. That's assuming we go deep in all cups. Liverpool played 63 games last season and they reached the final in all competitions. I wish we have a similar season next year, but my guess is we'll max out at around 55-58 games. And if we're out of the cups and CL early, we won't even crack 50 games.

The point of the post which you seem to have overlooked is the number of games Kane is faced with - so add on circa 10 internationals to that.

And lets prepare to go deep in competitions rather than say our players are too tired. And also remember last season was the first in about 3/4 seasons when Kane was not injured (although out of form for the first 2 months). Which I suggest means planning for Kane to be faced with circa 70 games. Ditto for Son

Then answer the question 'do we need cover for Kane (and indeed Son who can score goals when they are not available ' - I say yes.

Your posts suggest there is no need to get a player - yes or no ?

Cheers 👍

Yeah, seems to use his left plenty. I just mean all that forward carrying, overlapling and passing on the run that we've been using Davies for.

Personally think Sanchez will be kept if we're not offered 30m plus. Good defensive record with him in the side this season to be fair, Conte seems to like him.

Yeah he was iffy vs Rangers. Gvardiol has all the ability in the world really, but he's just turned 20yo. A striker or midfielder can be out of position/switch off for a minute and it won't have much detrimental effect.. a small mis-step from a defensive player often leads to an opposition chance. Conte is a win now kinda guy, so I think Gvardiol is a year or two away from what we should be signing. I could see him becoming a top 10 cb in the world if he stays improving.. but lots of young defenders show high levels and then plateau for whatever reason. I like the idea of Lisandro Martinez a lot.. I'm starting to think he'd be my pick outside of Bastoni.

No, it doesn't suggest that. I think we need 4 quality attacking options, even if we play the minimum number of games, because there are also injuries to consider. I was just pointing out that it's highly unlikely we will play 60+ games, as you suggested, and offered a number I think we'll end up playing. That's all, really. Nothing more to read into it than that.
