The cash difference between PL and foreign leagues is so stark. I think only German clubs seems to be more or less spending as usual, but their usual is not a lot. Out of Bayern and Dortmund they've always shopped domestic and in the bargain bucket category.More or less getting our money back for Bergwijn is great business. Outside of the PL, no one has money except the traditional giants. Clubs have been getting rinsed by teams on the continent trying to sell their players, look at some of Woolwich’s business and failed business.
He had a couple of incredible moments at City and Leicester but by and large it hasn’t worked out here. No use in holding on the small chance he’ll be worth 40m in a few years when we can get nearly 25m now.
Bloke had played 2850 minutes in all competitions in his 2.5 years here. Royale played almost 2700 just this year and he want even fully first choice. We’re getting very sound money for backup that can be used for someone much better. Thank god for his performances while on international duty.
Perennial Europa league fodder woolwich are spending 150m again.
