Sarr is bang average, nowhere near as good as Richarlison
Yeah, Sarr would be a poor signing, very underwhelming. He's very quick, scores a few goals, but his general play is quite poor .. I think he's a decent player for a bottom half PL side.

If we can't get Richarlison or Raphina for whatever reason, I hope we take a chance on somebody like Amine Gouri or Charles De Ketelaere instead of middling PL players.

Raphinha’s creative numbers (xA, key passes, shot creating actions, etc) in his two seasons at Leeds are nearly identical to Kulusevski with us.

His assist output in 2020-2021 (9 assists) when Bamford was healthy and Leeds were in form are in line with his creation numbers. Last year with Bamford out and his creative numbers relatively similar (slight drop off), he only gets three assists. Meanwhile Kulusevski gets 8 in half a season.

All to say, his assist numbers should tick up quite a lot playing with Kane and Son. Plus he’s shown the ability to score from the wing with 17 league goals the last two years. Very respectable return for a winger playing a pretty poor side and new to the league.
His got a trait which Kulu lacks, he can't be shut down by just crowding him. Where Kulu is best in open games and running on to Kane through balls, with Raphina Kane can just chill near the box and have Raphina bring the ball to him.

Yeah, massively differing styles (minus the cutting in from the wing) even if the results are similar.

For the reasons you mention, I still feel like in the long run Kulusevski might play more centrally. Less concern about being crowded out and he can rely more on intelligent movement to find space than athleticism.

Leeds were not a poor side in 2020/21
Fair and that year he was sixth in the league in assists behind only Kane, Son, KDB, Fernandes, and Grealish. Plus six goals. And that was his first PL season.

He scored a lot of goals this year and dropped off in assists because he was all Leeds had going forward. His xA was over 7 and he only had 3 because Leeds attackers were shit. Meanwhile Kulusevski has 3.5xA and 8 assists because he was passing to ruthless finishers like Kane and Son.

Maybe we've sussed this scouting thing at last. Find clubs whose scouts you trust. Ring up their best players' agent about a move. Tap the club's phone, monitor what players they call for replacements. Buy their intended replacements instead.

Apparently Gnabry is available for 30m and if so, we should be all over that, he is head and shoulders above anyone else we have been linked with.

I am surprised nobody has tried to get him out of Brentford yet this summer but maybe he just doesn’t want to leave. Teams like Newcastle where he started off and the scum would be vastly improved by his signing.
yeah, now that you mention it, he's one of the players you'd expect a scramble over. He's be much better than Jesus for the gooners, he's a budget Kane but with working ankles. Adds much needed muscle to that team of babies.
