He's not serious suggesting we could get Richarlison for 40m or less to save Everton paying a 10% sell on fee, is he? If he is, he needs to go back to school.

They have already replaced Mane, Salah and Firminho with Diaz, Nunes and Jota. They may need another one in after Origi went too.

Richarlison physically dominating?
This Richarlison?

Or this Richarlison?

Possibly this Richarlison?

Turkish food is fucking lovely to be fair.

I suspect Paul O'Keefe is suggesting if the price is £40m plus Winks valued at £20m, then there is zero sell on fee, which is slightly better than getting the full fee of £60m and needing to pay a sell on fee.

And Everton are showing interest in Winks at 20m, as are half a dozen clubs, so his price seems to be accepted

That’s called play acting to win free kicks, like Drogba and Costa.

Yes, it is. And it's as far away from being "physically dominating" as a player could get. Standing up, taking the hit and making something happen is physically dominating.

I sort of agree. But how bad are sell on clauses if they fail to recognise player exchanges in the value? If I was Watford I'd be saying Winks was worth more.

How the mighty have fallen.
There is no way they will end up buying Ndombele, their most expensive player is 17.5 million euros.

I'd deal at that tbh.

If at all true, one way this deal may work out is if Spurs sell him for, say, £20m + half of any sell-on free.
I am still hoping that Mbappe can convince PSG to buy his best mate though

He's 26 in December..... If they trigger a buy option next summer he'll be pushing 27.

Highly unlikely he re-finds such a high level that rich clubs suddenly become interested when he's 28/29..... Not once you factor in the league he'd be playing in. Nor is it remotely likley that a club owuld agree to a 50% sell-on fee.

He's fucked it. Turkey would be his death knell.

Waster.

My tone above looks a bit dejected, I kinda just meant it as a flat statement. Richarlison is obviously good and will improve us over the course of a season. Do fully believe Raphinha would be more of a difference-maker for a few reasons.

While we definitely need a strong rotation for both, Kane and Son are a lot more undroppable than Kulu. RW probably the first position subbed in a flat performance, or to be rotated when in poor form.

Raphinha is a better player than Rich. Better touch, dispossessed much less, cleaner passer, creates more chances for others, great set-piece taker, he has star quality. He's more adept playing on the left side than Richarlison is on the right. Both work hard off the ball, Richarlison the better of the two in that regard. Richarlison a heading threat at set-pieces. And can play decently as a striker.

Just think Raphina is a higher calibre of player. Fully understand people who think Richarlison is the better fit for us, I just think the difference in quality between the two will become quite apparent when they move to a higher level.
Edit: this looks very harsh on Richarlison, I do think he's very good and like him as a player.
100% we need real quality and raphina provides that more than Rich. We need some to score from outside the box especially v bus Parker’s. Also his free kicks are way better than Kane or Son. I think we should go all out to get him. Offer some fringe players plus cash.

I don't think Levy would though.
