WhatKWP is a good footballer, and better suited to RWB than RB. He could do a job at LWB too.
Plus he's now proven at PL level, unlike Spence, and Kyle is HG club-trained Spurs, not just Association trained.

Yup. KWP has played for England, making his debut in a friendly against Switzerland.

Are you OK?
I agree. Imo all international matches should be competitive, with just two tournaments - the World Cup and a regional / continental competion (Euros, S America, Africa, Asia etc).I can barely stand to watch England anymore. I reckon I've watched no more than 15 minutes since the Euro's. Its just sooooo boring.

But on KWP, if the total Spence package incl add on clauses is north of £20m, for a guy who's never kicked a ball in the PL, I can see why we would be looking elsewhere.
Wiki lists KWP as playing 62 PL games for Soton in the past 2 seasons. Whenever I watch them, he seems to be a starter, and usually has some good moments. Mostly in link up, attacking, play. He still occasionally looks vulnerable defensively.
I wouldn't want him as a RB in a back 4. As an attacking WB, I wouldn't be surprised if Paratici & our scouts have encouraged Conte to look at some film on KWP.
That said, I can't see Levy activating a £30m buy back clause (assuming it exists) on a player he sold for about £12m.
Because it's what the cool kids of Real Madrid do with the likes of Reguilon. If the thought of it was that much of a taboo; why would he even insert the clause to begin with?
And a lot of people are forgetting Alvarez who could be well tasty.Grealish is key IMO. Despite bad production on a surface level, he actually created quite a lot of big chances statistically. With another year settling he could be a good option off the left to create for someone like Haaland.
They have Mwepu and Caicedo who both look like they can get to Bissouma level or beyond. They won’t be wasting twice the money they paid for the pair of them on Winks. In fact doubt they will buy another Cm at all
Just signed a new contract. He was a free agent if he wouldn't.How much would an aging Cuadadro cost? Bring him in cheaply to reduce Juve’s wage bill and bring in Spence.
How is this buyback option just now becoming known? Leaked by Levy as another tactic to scare Boro?
They may have to completely change style of football though which I’m not sure Pep is up forSorry but there’s not ‘zero chance’ of being a flop.
Of course there’s a chance.
Not a high one but still a chance![]()

I always think of a buyback clause as insurance protecting the player's original club. If player x is sold for £10m, fulfils his potential, and is now worth £30-40m, then the original club essentially has first option on the player.
Assuming the KWP clause is real, the question is whether he has developed into a £30m player. My answer is No.
But then Soton allegedly want £75m for James Ward-Prowse, so the English market is fucked.
