Footballer's friend cleared of GBH

Nathan Cadby claimed he hit a stranger in self-defence while out with Leicester City's James Maddison in 2016.

Summing up Mr Brown's evidence for jurors, Judge Emma Brown said Mr Maddison had approached the group near a bus stop and asked: "Do you know who I am?" in a friendly manner.
When they replied that they didn't, Mr Brown had said Mr Maddison "changed a bit" and started talking about his expensive trainers.
"He said he earns £7,000 per week," Mr Brown had told the court.
"He said he earns more in a month than we do in a year. He said his shoes were more than our outfits."

Hopefully has matured but seems to have been a prize bellend in his early career.
 
Maddison was on Loan at Aberdeen a few Years ago and his attitude was great and he always mentions it as a great part of his learning process he scored an incredible last minute free kick winner against Rangers which has given him legendary status in Aberdeen. He would be a great signing for Spurs
 
One thing to be said is that Paratici is really showing how easy it is to get deals done when you have good forward planning and good industry contacts.

We were really up against it with clowns like Hitchens going around signing N'duds every window and even Poch parroting the club's bullshit stance of 'It's very hard to improve our team'.

Good to have someone in that can actually get us behaving like the top club we apparently aspire to be.

In all honesty I’m hoping we actually use some of this money to start increasing our wage bill (starting with a new contract for Kane). We have never been shy of spending money in windows, we just refuse to buy players who command big wages. It’s players on big wages who win titles, not players who command big fees (although usually these are one and the same). I feel like with Bissouma and Richarlison we are taking steps in the right direction (already established prem players).

You base your wage bill off of estimated turnover - not one-off cash injections.
