bus-conductor bus-conductor Suggestions we're after the little genius known as Nabil Fekir. I was surprised to see he's still only 28 years old, and the rumoured chronic injury problem (knee?) doesn't seem to have stopped him playing a lot of games for Betis.

Fekir would definitely bring creativity to our attacking options. Maybe we can send GLC the other way.

Bit late in his career really. Very talented fella, not the hardest grafter, but think we’ve got this remit covered by Kilusevski now though?

Fekir's only 28. Prime of his career.

As a squad option to open up the bus parkers, he seems ideal.

Presumably though he's the cheaper option to HG Maddison & Conte's rumoured top target SMS.

Sergej Milinković-Savić - Wikipedia

Not much value by the end of any contract though. I would have really liked him 2-3 years ago (or more), just think with Kilusevski (and Gil) we’ve got that “tricky lefty” covered now.

SMS is more of an 8 isn’t he? Box to box Barella vs final third goal scorer
I suspect Conte would want him for the Barella role.

Fwiw wiki (written by his agent?) sez he can quite literally do it all....

-------------------------------------------
Style of Play
Sergej Milinković-Savic is a versatile central midfield player and is capable of playing in several roles, including as a trequartista, or in a holding role, although he is usually deployed as a central midfielder, in the mezzala role. His style of play has drawn comparisons to Zinedine Zidane and Yaya Touré, as he blends the traditional attacking movement, positional sense, and finishing ability of an attacking midfielder, with the height and physicality of a target man or defensive midfielder; as such, he also is effective in the air, and is capable of scoring goals with his head as well as either foot, by making late runs from behind into the penalty area, or striking from distance. He possesses good technique, tactical intelligence, vision, and passing ability, despite his limited pace, as well as tenacity and excellent defensive work-rate, which enables him to help out at both ends of the pitch, carry the ball, and start attacking plays after winning possession. He has been nicknamed ‘il Sergente’ (the Sergeant) by Lazio fans for his charisma, physical dominance and for the assonance with his name.

Offloading GLC back to Betis may be part of the deal. That's my speculation, I've seen no links.

Regardless, if the 3 main AM / creative CM options are Maddison, SMS and Fekir, then Fekir will definitely have the lowest transfer fee.

Conte certainly isn't bothered by resale value at the end of any contract. We'll see whether Levy & Paratici are.....

one lazy fucker out one lazy fucker in, no thanks
Based on his bling time at manure, I also thought Depay was a "lazy fucker".

But his goals & assists return at both Lyon and Barca is very good. And Mourinho called him "a good professional".

-------------------------------

Mourinho explained why things never worked out in Manchester before backing him [Depay] to be a success in Catalonia.

"He is a really good professional. People can look at him and probably think he’s a party boy," Mourinho told talkSPORT. "I think he got this maturity in Lyon which is sometimes what players need.

"Sometimes they can go too early to the biggest clubs where they are not ready to cope with it. Where they are not ready to understand that in the biggest clubs there are internal competition, that you can not play all the time. That there are fantastic players to fight with you for a position. They can lose a little sense of reality and become a bit childish. Which is what happened.

"So when he decided to go to Lyon it was a great move for him and now he goes to Barcelona with maturity, with a good football age and I believe the Barcelona culture of football will help him also to level up in this important part of his career. But good memories of him and I repeat - he was a good professional."

Depay from Barcelona and we give them ndombele. That would be a great deal for us.
Why would Barcelona want to have a player in a position that they are completely sorted? Nico, Gavi, Pedri, De Jong (if he stays), Kessie and Busquets are miles better (attitude wise) than Ndombele and are more effective as a result. If Riqui Puig didn't cut it, Ndombele has as much of a chance as I do.

Like .. loads better too.

Depay scored 20 and assisted 12 in a season for Lyon. Scored 12 last season for Barca. Bergwijn has erm .. scored in a couple of international friendlies and scored 2 off the bench vs Leicester. There's no comparison here..

Yep, so I'm not sure why anyone would disagree with my post. Must be trolls.
