You have have to consider a few things here, Zaniolo has just turned 23 this july, Maddison will be 26 in a few months hence Maddison will have achieved more g+a in terms of playing time alone, but if you look at both their stats in comparative of their ages very similar on top of that within the same timeframe of age Zaniolo has been injured 438 days for the 2 acl injuries therefore not able to produce more. You are right in one aspect Roma have been tittering on mediocre for awhile.

Very true as seen with Bastoni but we do have an Italian DOF with tons of connections and the best Italian manager in the world. So it still is tough but that should help a little.

I can guarantee it's more admin (try flying over to the US right now) than true health benefit at this point. From a certain point of view, I understand the club's logic (and I stress the term logic rather than ethics) in that with regards to incomings, but would be very interested to know what the status of a player would be if they were already a squad member and didn't want it. Would they try to sell them or simply have them stay at home if travelling to a destination with jab requirements came up.
I feel like we've had enough players who pick up an injury here after signing and have their careers derailed. Could someone who's already had two ACL injuries be like some kind of reverse-jinx magic?

Apparently after having both ACL’s reconstructed, I’ve seen comments that suggest they could actually be stronger than before
