It’s been a good window but not as good as people make out. Perisic, Bissouma and Richarlison are all very good players who will improve us. Forster is a back up GK, Lenglet is not the Bastoni-level CB we wanted, he’s here to add depth to LCB and Spence is a prospect. He is not the finished article and he will not start games week in, week out.

Our greatest issue last year was lack of creativity. Conte’s system relies on wingbacks getting down the flanks and creating chances but we’ve only really improved on the left hand side and even that is a gamble given his injury. We are still not strong enough in the right to create a proper Conte system, so having a creative midfielder would help us break teams down.

If we get the right guy in then it’ll be an awesome window. But aside from adding depth, we really haven’t addressed the main issue that we had last season.

I am really surprised we didn’t go hard on getting a proper right wingback in. Just seems like we are trying to fudge it again. That position let us down time and again all season yet there’s been no real umpf to get it properly sorted with an experienced pro in that position.
there's seemingly no real option in the market that match our needs.

i would love us to splurge on a top class cam, not zaniolo

or a savic type who can bypass the bass parkers

i get it rwb are hard tto get and beyond hakimi there are not many top quality ones

cb we def need one at some point

Seems to be that Conte is happy with he has because essentially he has different options to choose from.

RWB market isn't the best eiret tbf.

.

It’s been an excellent window that’s at least 8/10.

A CB and CAM would finish it off.

To be fair we outscored pretty much everyone in the second half of the season. Perisic and Richarlison will add more goals. And I think the signs are that Conte is sticking to 343 but ideally wants another creative wide player, like Raphinha, not a CAM. Not many I can think of, but could we go for a guy like Olise at Palace? Even Zaha would be a decent sub to bring on in a tight game.

I’m absolutely fine with our window when you compare who has moved that we could have considered a genuine target for us. In fact I’m more than happy with it.

I think business being done early, which we have all craved has meant we now feel as though we could do more but had we done the same business at the end of the window and the window had shut people would be a bit less restless.

No decent Right Wing back has moved in this window and no decent left footed CB has moved in this window that we missed out on or had a realistic chance of signing.

Bremer maybe but isn’t left footed.

Our first XI was always good enough and we’ve added Spence, Bissouma and Perisic and potentially Lenglet to that depending on how he performs.

Our squad as a whole now has depth too. Let’s just get the season started with the group we have and stop pretending James Maddison is the second coming of Maradona shall we?

DJ at some point this season will start, he isn't a "prospect" unless you are saying Doherty and or Royal are going to carry that position this season? Neither are good enough, can take a man on or cross worth a shit.

What we saw with Lenglet and Perisic yesterday was a Conte vision that will offer us a big threat on the left side for the first time in half a decade.

Aside from the front three, and centre backs few players will start "week in week out" That's the whole point in why Paratici has added half a dozen players to the squad.

I just don't understand why you think we haven't addressed the issues we had last season, i mean how many more players are you expecting to come in three, four five?

Not the biggest fan of him, but as an alternative to Maddison, Lucas Paqueta would add a robust, physical, technical, presence that would help to break down a packed defence.
