Winks I think will go, he is now so far down the pecking order that I can't see him laying in anything other than the very early rounds of the FA/CC . That simply won't suit him at all. He is still young enough and i would guess wanted enough, he just has to accept that he won't be playing for a top six club.

LoCeslo sounds like it's a done? and Tanganga likely a loan? The only player that sounds like he can't be shifted is Lurch.
You rang

Sess is in danger of being the next Winks if he doesn't start being more ambitious with his attacks.
Too often we're seeing him halt and hinder attacks and the bottle it by passing inside.

Requilon is the opposite - he's a Kamikaze attacker who barrells into the box and hits balls across it.
He put a nice right-footed cross directly onto Kane's head against Roma and Kane failed to put it on target. Sess has improved much at chance creation lately, and I would say is better at it than Reggie by now.

Can't remember what game it was, but one of his assists last season showed the intelligence and poise to buy the extra second in order to pick out the right man.

Need more of that; rather than the hit n hope cross-spamming that has increasingly become the norm from our WB/FBs over the last 4/5 years.

Not the point......

He had mad hype.... Shining star of Sevilla's EL win... La Liga LB of the year etc.

The fact is most people here were all frothy about Reg being a "must have"..... Now; true to form, they're trying to wahs their hands of the fact.
I think it's fair to say one or two hyped him but there was a large chunk that were concerned that the deal was in RMs favour. A little like Lenglet, the difference now being, some of us can see the point in getting a top player, even if its only for a season until we can sign the player we really want. Reggie wasn't this.

You can't fault his desire to be here, he seems to really like the club and is well integrated, also he appears to be professional in his conduct. It's a shame he's just not the level he needs to be.

some you win, some you lose.

Sess seems to be a shrinking violet, a player that really lacks confidence and doesn't believe in himself. He has improved but without the belief I can see him struggling.

I don't know how you get that. You can be confident without being arrogant. I'm not sure it can be taught... I'm trying to remember back to Bale, whilst i'm not suggesting they are the same how did Bale appear in his early days?

Bale had athleticism that Sess could only dream of.

Mate, I just read the early pages of the Reg thread....... Terms of purchase aside, there's few doubters about the player himself..... Even perennial shit-merchants like Arcspace cast him as an impressive signing.

Maybe they'd not genuinely watched him and were just regurgitating media hot-takes.... Who knows.

........We always see a similar climb-down over players that flop tho'.

Absolutely.

Reg is extremely likeable... Shame it never worked out.

The only issue with him is his final delivery really, he is not a bad player by any means. Conte just knows Perisic is better and thinks Sessegnon still has the potential. It's nothing personal.
