How many people called it around the same time?
Can't go back and check that.

BUT
If he has any actual inside info, it's likely to be Italy and unlikely to be forever.
The argument here isn't whether he's right or wrong. It's when he "breaks" the news.
The guy called the Sancho news before anyone, and is now making a fortune out of it, getting news from actual transfer journalists like Ornstein, Di Marzio, Romero etc. An extortionist of the highest order.

We’ve discussed this before so last post on this-

He does write in the tweets itself whether it’s exclusive or whether he’s found info verifying another journalist (and he’ll tag them to give credit).

Given the amount of BS from most journalists and ITKs, if he was just a fraud parroting them, he’d also have a low accuracy rate. But he doesn’t.

That's a fucking bold statement that is.

At his age, and with one punctuated premier league season under his belt, no one knows where he'll end up.
No shit. It's just a prediction. Honestly mate, will you cheer up. Prem is back!

The skill is not knowing things - it's waiting until it's a sure fire thing.
And in the rare event he does jump the gun early, it's about having a backup story.

To be fair to anyone hanging off his every tweet. Unlike ITK folks, I don't think he's an attention seeking liar.
He puts his face and name to everything. I strongly believe he only wants to provide truth as he has built a brand and a career out of it. So if he does tweet something, the chances are it's happening.
I just think there's plenty of others that break these stories before him.

Forster
Perisic
Bissouma
Lenglet
Richarlison
Spence
Zaniolo
Udogie

How are we rating that kind of potential window our of 10 then if it happens? Looks pretty good to me.
Forster - Decent backup keeper that we've needed for ages. The issue is, he's not Hugo's replacement, so we're going to need to look for 2 GK in the near future. 5/10

Perisic - Trademark Conte signing. Was one of the best LWB in Europe last season. If his games v Liverpool last season are anything to go by, where he was one of the best players on the pitch, dominated TAA and was extremely unlucky hitting the post in the first tie, he won't have any issues adjusting to the EPL. 9/10.

Bissouma - We finally might have the technical engine that we've needed since Moussa. If he's as half as good as Dembele, we're going places. The fact that dominated he Woolwich, United, Chelsea and Spurs last season is an incredible fact. 8.5/10.

Lenglet - Definiton of uncertainty. Might be incredible, might flop extremely hard. First 2 months will be very telling. Stats look good, but they never tell the whole story. 6.5/10.

Richarlison - Statement signing. We never signed a decent backup to Kane/Son, and we went in this summer and signed a player that will challenge them for their places because of his confidence. Gives us a completely different option in attack. 8/10.

Spence - Punt of the year. We always make one of these transfers, and if it works, we look like geniuses (Dele). In the small sample of games that I watched him play, he looked incredible v Leicester, Woolwich and Bournemouth, good v Liverpool, and average-to-mediocre v Huddersfield. 5.5/10.

Zaniolo - To be fair, this signing is weird (if we make it). I love him as a player, but he's too similar to Kulusevski. I don't see how Conte wants him to be a RWB, he way too left-footed to be one, but Conte knows 100000000x more than me. 4.5/10.

Udogie - Have watched him in brief spells, and he strikes to me like a player that we want to play as a LCB instead of the popular belief that he's being bought as a LWB. Great technique, Good speed, has an eye for a pass, but below-average crossing. Looks very raw, so he's going to need a lot of coaching. The talent is there though. 5/10.

So that's an average of 52/80, or 6.5/10. Good window, with the potential to be an incredible one if Udogie, Spence and Zaniolo shine.

Hi Mark. I'm good thanks. Nice to see you back. I'm Joan now, btw

You've really answered the question for me tbh. As have the subsequent posters. And as the boss has said himself, we need more if we wish to challenge seriously.

2 of the 3 positions you highlight are crying out for attention and a creative midfielder in the mould of an Eriksen would also be an important addition. Madison, perhaps

With that in mind, and having slept on it, I was probably being generous with a 6

Forster and Lenglet hardly get me moist

Peresic is very old. Some would say too old to be debuting in the blood and thunder of the Premier league .

And Conte himself has distanced himself from the Spence signing.

Bissouma looks a good buy and Richarlison made a statement. Pleased with those.

Zaniola comes across as a poor mans Madison and Udogie wouldn't even be in our squad next season.

Tbh, with us now considered the financial powerhouse of the Premier League, as Airfixx Airfixx rightly highlighted, and the public announcement of the long overdue cash investment of £150million, I expected more, as I suspect everyone else did if they're honest with themselves.

But hey, there's still a few weeks left so a lot could happen yet!
May I ask how much you've watched of Zaniolo to make your prediction? That's ZaniolO, not ZaniolA.

Some weird takes on Romano in here. I watched a short documentary on a day in his life and he's anything but a tap-in merchant. Obviously he's not ITK in the truest sense but he doesn't just sit behind a computer copying other sources. Pretty sure from what I remember he has a decent sized network with whom he is constantly chasing for info.

Yes, Cucurella is a good player.

But my point above was that the chavs are paying prices other clubs won't. We know Guardiola wanted Cucurella and he fits an obvious need for Shitty. But they wouldn't match Brighton's demands for £50m plus a top young player.

Just as no one but Boehly is going to pay 80m for Fofana.
Just goes to show how unambitious City are.
:skipwtf:

Seriously, if we were in City's position, some posters on here would be slagging off Levy that we're not acting like a big team till the cows came home.
