FC Porto sealed a 3-0 win over Sporting on Saturday and a Tottenham Hotspur official was in attendance at the Estádio do Dragão.

Today’s edition of Record says there were officials from 20 clubs observing the league tie between the two sides yesterday.

Among the scouts, the newspaper ‘highlights the presence’ of those from Tottenham, Manchester United, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Juventus and AS Roma.

Evanilson, Mateus Uribe and Galeno got their names on the scoresheet for the hosts, while Pedro Porro’s evening ended in disappointment. The right wing-back was shown a red card in the 75th minute.

A Bola also mention Tottenham representatives were at Porto’s home stadium to watch their latest win over the Lions.

The two newspapers, however, do not mention anything about the players that Spurs scouts were observing yesterday.

With Spurs’ presence at the Estádio do Dragão, it will be interesting to see whether there will be a claim about any of these players in the coming days.
Does Marcus edwards play for sporting? Levy possibly thinking with a 50% sell on clause he could grab a bargain.

Shouldn't we be aiming a bit higher than an Atalanta bench player?

I've no idea who obviously, but someone who is really pushing Kulusevski for that right sided spot. Rather than someone we are so obviously signing as a back up.

Probably but I reckon we aren't playing that 3-5-2 as much and my guess is that my man is happy play a bench role to change games as opposed to a certified starter

Inter (including owner) have announced he's not leaving this summer (particularly to PSG who they have rejected several bids) and announced they are in contract negotiation

Problem is Skriniar contract currently ends June 2023

And nothing in financial press to show Inter's financial situation (which is very bad) has improved.

I still think Inter has to sell a top player this summer though .....

Is Skriniar likely to bring the on-the-ball quality that people constantly criticise our CBs over?

If not, surely he's not the guy and people are just thirsting for name value?

.......Paying mega-bucks(*) for a somewhat better version of Dier solves little.

(*PSG bids have been rejected so Inter must be demanding a he'll of a lot!)

When linked with a transfer to PSG , L'Équipe highlighted Škriniar's high pass and long pass accuracy, his complexity and low injury proneness and imposing figure

Otherwise a good solid defender who is a strong tackler, quick to make clearances, good positionally and in air and one on one situations.

So maybe a cross between Dier and Alderwiereld - but an expensive upgrade ?

I said Conte won't change his system. That's a fact. Occasionally switching it up to allowing three in midfield or mid game to a 424 isn't changing his system. It's adapting to his opponent. Neither of which particularly suit Maddison.

great foward passes which we dont do and not only that looked dangerous on set pieces, he is better then any of our central mids

He made 8 passes into the final third yesterday. Hojbjerg made 11.
He made 34 forward passes. Hojbjerg made 40. Bentancur made 34 also.

Contrary to belief, our midfielders do actually pass the ball forward. He's got good technique and he's a good footballer. But I have a hard time believing that he's all that much Hojbjerg and Bentancur.

He's a good set piece taker. But signing a defensive midfielder for the sole purpose of his set pieces seems a little redundant. Especially when we've scored 3 goals from set pieces already this season out of the 7 goals we've scored.

I actually like Neves too. I just don't think he's good enough to warrant splashing huge money on when he's not really any better than what we have in our squad. Central midfield is arguably our best position depth wise. Bissouma and Skipp waiting in the wings.

I thought Moutinho looked better than him yesterday personally. And they went to absolute shit when he came off the pitch.

Wow. Woolwich spent money to improve their first team and it shows. We spent money on players who don’t get into our first team. Worrying,

We are three games into a new season.

We haven't kicked a ball in anger in three competitions that we will compete in this season. Woolwich have played so far:

Palace 4 points
Leicester 1 point
Bournemouth 3 points

Please tell me if you truly think a Woolwich side void of any of there new signings wouldn't have taken nine points?

Let's reflect on their success when they begin Thursday/Sunday football.

In the meantime as you are such a fan of theirs would you like me to send you a link to All Or Nothing so you can see the way they imploded after being four points ahead of us with a game in hand last season?

Neves is a good long range passer with very little mobility who can score bangers. No thanks for whatever dumb price Wolves would want for him.

He's the MOTD player people scream on about.

Looks good every now and then on MOTD because he'll score a banger here and there or get a great assist with a long ball and Ian Wright and Alan Shearer for one week will bang on about how Wolves will find it hard to keep him at the club before not mentioning him again until he scores another banger months later.

There's a reason that 5 years on, he's still a Wolves player.
