I've gone back and forth on the guy so many times, currently don't really see what improvement he'd bring to the side. And would he come in as RW bench option or another RWB?

At 10 mil he might be worth a punt, but that's all he would be for me.

Both, probably? You have someone to rotate in as a right winger, and a RWB option for games where you're struggling to break a team down so you throw in a wildcard. Late on if you have Perisic/Adama out wide you're at least going to be causing problems.

People really dislike him, which is fair. He's a massively frustrating player. But as you say, as a cheap option if he can have a positive impact on games just a handful of times a season it's probably worth the kind of money we'd pay.

On paper the combination of Perisic, Spence, Traore and Richarlison does seem like one that could cause a lot of mayhem

Folks....

It's getting closer to .....

What would Adama bring?

Go watch the game against us last season, he tore us to shreds. When he gets on the ball he is direct and very fast. His final ball has always been poor, but he's also never had Kane and Son to pass to.

it seems Conte wants us to break fast and get up the pitch quickly. Kulu and Kane clearly lack pace and Adama would give us another option in that area.

We have a lot of games to play this season, including the FA and Milk cups. Gil is not at the required level and ideally we don't want to be playing Kane, Son, Kulu in the cup games.

A backup front 3 of Adama, Richarlison and Moura would scare most defences and is certainly an improvement over any backup front 3 we have had for the last decade at least.

Along with our rumoured interest in St Max, it looks like Conte wants a fast player who can run the ball up the pitch quickly and beat players 1 on 1. I'd suggest that Adama may be our deadline day backup to whomever is our primary targets.

If I recall, they had tons of players on loan
This is why the loan system is shit.

You get players who have done well and got them promoted, who will never play PL minutes because their parent club will farm them out to another Champo club.

There should also be a limit to the number of players you can loan. IMO the forest team that got promoted isn't Forest, it's a PL mixed youth team.

Chelsea having 40 odd players out on loan wasn't that long ago. The league has tried to fix that, but there are still lots of flaws in the loan system.

Other leagues like the bundesliga are benefitting from our young players and British clubs are just going to get fleeced for them e.g. Sancho. They could keep them and just play them in a more sustainable manner. The odd one will be lost like Musiala.

I suppose the PL is lucky that it's pretty much the only league with money. I'd certainly like to see more homegrown talent play at the highest level instead of shit foreigners coming in. Every season these mid to low teams pad their squads out with foreigners who aren't better than the homegrown youngsters in their academies.

For the bolded, I agree he tore our defense to sherds. However it did not lead to anything. Half of those runs ended with him running out of space, the other half with a cross that makes Emerson's look world class.

You're right in saying that he's never had the likes of Kane, Son and Richarlison, but it's not like Jimenez is gash either.

Did anyone pay attention to his loan spell at Barca, was very uneventful no?

Which club did Bastnoi end up at then?

How about Gvardiol?

Which RBs did our rivals beat us to?

Ya talking shite.

Questions remain:

Which club did Bastnoi end up at then?

How about Gvardiol?

Which RBs did our rivals beat us to?

That's a question, not an answer.

The bloke you're rallying round is chatting absolute shit.

By virtue of your 'agrees' you should be able to answer the following:

- Which club did Bastnoi end up at then?
- How about Gvardiol?
- Which RBs did our rivals beat us to?

Stop ducking.
I know Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V is a wonderful thing.

But at least spell the geezer's name properly the first time, so you don't make the same mistake over and over.

Bastoni.
