Devine seems to have had a decent year at Preston as well and could be ready for some bench minutes. But there's a buy out clause in play there.
This is absolutely correct, our target must be Europe.10th-12th playing 1 game a week would be awful and i feel de zerbi will be aiming much higher too. Utd just jumped 15th to 3rd and the bournemouths, brightons and sunderlands of this world are playing 3 times a week next year.
Anything below 8th is really poor for us imo.
For me that was entirely on the board for allowing that Frank loser to fester in the job because they didn’t want to admit they got it wrong. The players are only human.I agree with you... but I think you are over thinking it. Honestly he isn't playing every week no matter what he thinks. I genuinely believe the signing of Robertson is primarily and almost entirely a critique of Cootie Romero Djed Spence Mickey Van De Ven and Pojo Porro.
He's literally a senior dominant voice who will reinforce the manager not be organising WhatsApp meetings to arrange not acknowledging the fans. The absolute poisonous fuckery we have put up with this season people's memories are too short.
I think we should sell him and retain a buyback option in case he advances to the next level.Big issue for Devine is, I think, general congestion in the squad in his position.
The club have completely fucked our midfield, havent they?
And they probably need to buy a couple in, which means more out - and Id wager there wont be meaningful room for Devine at the end of it
It's actually a pretty good read. But I don't think it states or implies that we don't have any money to spend. Sure, it mentions that cash injections are needed to facilitate the debt but that doesn't necessarily mean that we don't have a transfer budget. On top of that, we are going to sell players this window - hopefully Romero, Vicario and Richarlison - which will add more cash to the transfer budget. Here it is, mate.

Tottenham Hotspur: How Spurs' hierarchy are trying to transform club regardless of Premier League status
An overhaul is happening behind the scenes at Spurs amid their successful battle aginst Premier League relegation; Sky Sports News examines the changes - and if they are having an impactwww.skysports.com
Perisic still clearly had his legs and was a physical marvel.FWIW I agree in general that older players on free transfers can be a source of value.
Ivan Perisic was really good for us in 22/23 with quality on the ball and an understanding of what Conte wanted.
It's just that Andy Robertson as an all-action fullback who doesn't have the legs anymore playing in De Zerbi's system doesn't really profile as someone who would perform well on the pitch.
This is a good season to make him our 4th choice CM. He needs as many starts as he can get as his age. Otherwise we are going to curtail his development, which would be a sin against football, HG or not be damned.
This part of the problem with the club not being willing to spend to sufficiently on HG players- we end up asking kids to do both roles, and then the under-pressure manager never plays them because they don't think they are good enough, and then they stagnate for a few years and get sold to League 1 for 1m + sell-on. It's been incredibly stupid and counterproductive for us.
The spots for talented midfielders coming off the bench are covered by Gray and Bergvall. Can not see where that leaves Devine without Europe. Its most likely not with us.Devine seems to have had a decent year at Preston as well and could be ready for some bench minutes. But there's a buy out clause in play there.
Good signing if United get him. Fair play, looks like they are sorting themselves out a bit.Ederson to united Is close
Baleba might be available after all…
Pretty sure that want both. One to replace Casemiro, one to replace Ugarte.Ederson to united Is close
Baleba might be available after all…
Maddison - 48m
Johnson - 40m
Gray - 40m
Gallagher - 35m
Solanke - 65m
Phillips - 2m
+ Berg on the brink of HG
We've certainly been trying to beef up the HG...... Only 3 of them to be considered 'kids'.
The leagues weak, If we can recruit well we will fly up. 5 quality signings will see a push for top 4-6.10th-12th playing 1 game a week would be awful and i feel de zerbi will be aiming much higher too. Utd just jumped 15th to 3rd and the bournemouths, brightons and sunderlands of this world are playing 3 times a week next year.

Jesus, there has been no forward planning AT ALL.If we farm Berg out on loan next season we will fuck up his ability to be registered as HG.
Was actually taking a look at the table. Sunderland got Europa league, we just scraped survival. They had 4 wins more than us.The leagues weak, If we can recruit well we will fly up. 5 quality signings will see a push for top 4-6.
Came through at MIK Dons academy didn’t he?
