Seriously??? So our defense leaking goals galore these last seasons is down to our attacking players???

Ice Cube What GIF

Not solely no but not having adequate attackers who can hold onto the ball and recycle it properly ends up losing it and inevitably puts pressure on the defence.

Are you new to football or something? Reminds me when the media were confused and questioned Pep when he said that he doesn't need to teach his players how to tackle because his forwards were good enough to use the ball adequately and counter press/tactical foul when they lose it.

Same logic as an attack won't function properly if your deepest players can't pass/build up, it's a team game.

Davies isn’t LB rotation because he’s never fit. Great lad, everyone respects him but you’ve got to be in the squad to have an impact and he hasn’t been healthy in years.

Can’t understand the point of Savinho, haven’t we had our fill of young/talented wingers who are all potential but need years of development to reach the top level?

I guess he’s left footed which we don’t really have in the side but for me he’s just another one like Tel and Odobert who might be good in 3 years. Need someone reliable in now.

We aren’t prepared to pay the now price, new people in charge but same policy.

Yeah defo something we need to look at. Assuming Richy is off, what have we got in the current squad?

Maddison: ~10 goals if fit
Solanke: 10-15 if fit
Tel: 5-10
Kudus: 5-10 if fit
Gallagher: 2-5

Then a handful of goals from the CBs, CMs, full-backs and Xavi & Odobert when they return.

"If fit" is doing a ton of heavy lifting there, though - plenty of fitness concerns among that group.

We really need another striker and another wide forward that can seriously contribute goals and creativity if we want to be anything more than a mid-table team.
You can’t predict how many goals a player might score.

Hmm, Solanke has only hit double figures once in the Premier League - and to do that he played virtually every minute as the lone striker for a mid table team (where he wasn't expected to press and track back).

Kudus has never been a prolific goal scorer. 5 goals seems to be about his level.

To get into the Top 4, we need to be scoring about 70 goals. Ange managed 74 / 64 - and this season we dropped to 48.

With the likelihood that Richarlison is leaving, + Romero + Palhinha + Kolo + Johnson - That's 23 goals gone.

So, Spurs need to find an additional 45 goals next season. Solanke, Madisson, Tel and Kudus aren't going to get anywhere near making up that shortfall.

Kudus has done 8 in the league before and I think, in a functional system, there's defo a world where Solanke gets 10+ (provided he's fit enough).

But overall I agree: we absolutely need to add goals to the side.

Not sure I get the love for Savinho; and he's certainly not worth any more than 30m.

Playing for City, surrounded by the best players in the world, he's scored 7 in 84 appearances, with an assist every 6 games. That's woeful.

What make you think he will be better playing with lower quality players around him?

And, lets not forget that he spends more time injured than not - hamstring, knee problems, thigh problems. This guy seems like yet another pansy sick note who only plays when it suits him.
You are not the only one
Rarely starts, scores or assists for city
Not worth anywhere near the price being floated around
No where near the Brazilian squad
Personally just that good in my opinion

It's very unlikely we are going to luck into getting a 25 goal a season striker, so we need 10-12 goals from each of the front 3. We are miles off.
