Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Senesi and Robertson are great signings. They help balance the squad and signing them early gives us the best chance of getting the most out of them. This fortunately feels different than the last couple of years.

Sounds like Savinho, Van Hecke, Palhinha all seem to be in the conversation. Each of which would increase the quality in the squad. Moore and Vuskovic will also give us a great problem to have.

You are right he is but he is much more disciplined and typically sits centrally in front of the back four. This kid could be reigned in a little but he does like a carry the ball all over. It would be a big ask to not only come into the PL as a starter (which is what we need) plus also learn to play the position differently to how he has been.

Im interested to see who we end up with in CM thats for sure as its very pivotal to making a RDZ team work well

I think Spurs getting Senesi and Van Hecke in as CB's. both top at progressive passing will take some of the pressure off CM's - added to Porro and Van de Venn who have a track record of chance creation, as does new signing Robertson

So whilst I agree we do need a creative CM he's going to be supported from the defence much more than would have been possible in 25/26 season just passed

Minimum we need and arguably we need 2x CMs instead of 1 because we have such an awkward mix of cm's currently. They all need to be starting quality too.

Seems like a hell of a lot especially when you factor in that we need 10ish outgoings.

Long summer ahead
who are the 10 outgoings? Biss is out of contract and we need to sell Sarr, Romero, Richy, Dragusin, Vicario imo.

At CM I think we roll with the following until January.
6: NEW, Palhinha
8: Bentancur, Gray
10: Maddison, Gallagher, Moore

We need a new midfield general to partner Bentancur.
Palhinha returns as rotation option.
I think Bergvall goes out on loan as he's not as disciplined as Gray and he needs minutes.
Moore to stick around as CAM + LW/RW cover at least until Jan.
It's risky as if Maddison goes down we are looking blunt but we need to sign 3 forwards so I don't expect a 10 on top of those.

I remember a few years back some posts on this forum warning with Kane leaving and when Son leaves if we aren’t careful we will end up in a relegation battle and it got laughed off the forum and I thought at the time that’s a very arrogant attitude to dismiss us getting into a relegation battle.

The league has changed. TV money means even the likes of Brentford are rich and all they need to do is buy a bunch of good Brazilians and Spanish players and with a good manager they will be a good side. There used to be 10 shit teams, now 1-2 shit teams so you can’t just do a Lange stress purchase and write the season off.

If we ain’t good we will be in more relegation battles. Only way for club to avoid this is to build an elite squad, we have to spend big to save money.

Even the relegated teams Wolves, Burnley and Wham all earned more in prize money from TV in PL than the Italian Serie A winners.

That means everyone in PL has a lot of money to spend, so we need to bring in good players - and starting with 2 free transfers which has done a lot to sort out our defence means we can focus most of our funds on forwards and creative CM which are our weakest areas in the squad,

Fucking hell that looks incredibly awful. This new 6 better be Modric mixed with Makelele or else we’re right back in the relegation zone
Nah. A properly organised RDZ team with an actual set of attackers fit and available and we will be nowhere near the relegation zone.

We got there by hiring two terrible managers on the bounce and having the hubris to think that Odobert/Tel/Xavi/Muani was a PL-level attack.

Woolwich and PSG seemingly after MGW, so that’ll be that one dead in the water. Really wish we’d just pushed ahead and signed him last summer and dealt with the legal ramifications afterwards.
