The time to do this move was during the winter xfer window. Now, if we are relegated it doesn't make sense, and if we stay up we'll aim to do better.

I was hopeful that the hierarchy would have lived up to the reputation of skinflints, but in this instance wisely during January. I suppose staying up doesn't make Wilson a bad signing as such but it wouldn't be quite as astute as it would have been.

Brother, I feel like we might struggle to sign Foden from Man City…

Maybe I’m wrong 🤣

Unless they get points deductions and relegated but we all saw from Chelsea how that’s really gonna go
Its a big ask, but his man city career is going to be over soon in my opinion.

If Pep remains as manager I think he leaves for more game time, his stock is falling.

Has just over a year on his contract, isn't starting games and isn't the first man on from the bench.

Let’s just say, I’d pay whatever they ask pretty much but he could probably choose his club. Barca and Bayern would take Foden yesterday

Who are we up against?

Who are we up against?

Clubs Spurs are directly competing with (based on the latest reports):

Everton – Long-standing interest and remain firmly in the mix.
Aston Villa – Keen and one of the clubs ready to pounce on a free transfer.
Manchester United – Monitoring the situation closely.
Liverpool – Have not completely ruled out bringing their former academy product back to Anfield (especially with Mohamed Salah potentially leaving).
Leeds United and Sunderland – Both still very much in the race (even if they’re not guaranteed Premier League status next season).
There’s also a long-shot interest from Wrexham (his boyhood club), but that looks very unlikely given the Premier League-level competition.
Bottom line: It’s a crowded market, but because Wilson is on a free, the winner will likely be whoever offers him the best playing time/role + wages. Spurs are now one of the bigger names in the hunt alongside Everton, Villa, Man Utd and Liverpool. Deals could start heating up very soon.

Central midfield wise I would like to say goodbye to Bissouma (contract up), not take the obligation on JP (despite the fact I think he’s been good for us), see if we can get a couple of million back on Gallagher, and then sell whichever of Bentancur & Sarr RDZ doesn’t fancy.

Think make Locatelli our statement signing and get Fernandes from West Ham in as a his understudy.

Yildiz as our big name signing offer juve 130 for locatelli and yildiz

You can prefer what you want. Nico Williams isn’t going to sign for a club which has finished 17th two seasons in a row.

He’s probably not signing for anyone after he signed a ridiculously long contract for Bilbao.

Yeah I gave him as an example. We aren’t signing Nico Williams.

But, if we can stay up, there’s nothing stopping the club from getting big agents on board and really going after some top players.
