I know some aren't happy with this but for me it's a no brainer given his experience, mentality and also our need for a LB who can actually stay fit

Scott should be a home run to get a quality player, at a 'smaller' club and a spurs fan. You can't ask for a more obvious opportunity to inject some pride and quality into the team.

We'll defer to some obscure kid from Europe for a fifth of the cost though no doubt.

I’d much rather have Scott than Gallagher, Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr and, Palhinha. Won’t happen as ENIC and Lange always see things differently from the fanbase.

Scott, Gray, Bergvall all turning into world class players in a Spurs shirt would be nice.

Oh well. Nice to have a dream I guess.

Tbh I'm not totally against signing Robertson. Getting on but still better than Udogie at 32. Wouldn't say no to signing Gakpo and Jones from Liverpool too. Not glamour signings but would improve what for us at the moment is an utter shite side.

Remember folk saying he’s too similar to what we have in midfield, just another runner that can’t pick out a pass. He’s light years ahead of every single midfielder we have in terms of technical ability (And probably every other ability).

Hindsight’s always 20/20, but he’s the player we should’ve turned to when Eze went to Woolwich, maybe even after we realised the MGW deal was dead in the water.

But can he do formulas in a spreadsheet. That is the most important reason to hire anybody at a football club.

We can’t hire an old man like Pleat who doesn’t even know VBA

generous to think 99% of excel users have any idea what VBA is. Most of them think "pivot tables" are like peeking into the creation of time

Not sure if gallagher is a headless chicken or a good player. He failed at chelsea and atletico madrid. Time will tell.
He's definitely a decent CM and even has some potential with set piece situations as shown with his time at Palace. It seems like his ball skills have improved while at ATM. We just haven't been in any kind of a position to see him do anything except hustle and play defense. And he is NOT a winger- that was absolute garbage.

The big problem with Gallagher is that he clogs up a position on the pitch where we already have Bergvall, Gray and Sarr, who are all younger and potentially better. It's been very poor planning. I'd imagine we'll sell Sarr, but who really knows. I mostly just hope we jettison Benta, Palhinha and Bissouma, and make it work in CM with the four of them...
