Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's because we'll be offering him silly money out of desperation just like with did with Connor Gallagher and what we plan to do with Andy Robertson.

Yeah but he's actually good and will fit in with the managers plans (and hopefully by now the penny has dropped which will be the clubs ethos) as opposed to the other two who aren’t.

If we're going down which is likely we have to throw the money around to get back up, what's the point of having it if you're not going to spend it.

What worries me about us identifying transfer targets (plus hiring a new manager on a 5 year deal) is that it likely means the current hierarchy (Lange and Vinai) are going to be sticking around beyond the summer.

They should be booted out the door the minute the final whistle blows against Everton, regardless of where we finish.

If it's to happen, it needs to be done way before then; otherwise we'll spend most of the summer hunting their replacements.

.......Sorry to say; I think they're staying.

At least one of them will go, my guess is Lange.

These fucking idiots are so see through.

Let's arrange a load of nonsense transfers we know will never happen as we're definitely down, then we can say we were proactive.

Not fooling anyone.

Lange has to go mate. Of all the people responsible for the position we’re in, he’s right near the very top for me.

ENIC and Levy are responsible for not building and maintaining us as a team that are regularly competing at the very top for trophies and CL finishes.

But for me, this guy is the biggest reason we’re likely to get relegated. As much as I hate ENIC and think they’re terrible owners, you also can’t convince me the budget they’ve given this imbecile to build the squad should have us anywhere near the relegation places. That’s all down to him and his terrible profiling of players and nonsensical squad building.

We want to be a a team that plays out from the back, but persist with a goalkeeper who can’t play a simple pass or lob out to his full backs.

We sign centre halves who all have extremely different profiles, some can pick a pass, some couldn’t even pick their own arse. Some can run fast, some look like they’re towing a caravan.

The one serviceable left back we’ve had for the past 3 years has proven time and time again how unreliable his body is. Lange thinks it’s fine to just stick a right back there for 2 years, then sign a kid from halfway across the world, then try to sign someone who, while was once the best in the world in his position, is now on a very steep decline physically.

We have about 10 number 8’s who all more or less do the exact same thing, run about, charge into people, win the ball and then have absolutely no idea what to do with it once it’s at their feet.

Reduced to having basically no wingers, leaving us in a position where we have no outball or ability to drive up the pitch (Along with not being able to pass our way to the opposition goal) When all our wingers were getting injured, Lange decided the best course of action would be to sell one of our remaining fit ones, and then refuse to “panic buy”, or even recall the ones we have out on loan, leaving us with fuck all in that position.

Replace the greatest striker in the world with Dominic fucking Solanke, a striker who couldn’t hit a barn door with a machine gun.

I don't think the issue is the sources as it's now been picked up by Jacobs / Ornstein.

The issue I have is that the Owners seem to be a lot more confident of staying up than us fans at the moment? I know they shouldn't be planning on being in the Championship but i'd also like to be agreeing terms with players that will be with us next season regardless..

So both the world class centerbacks open about departing. I remember an idiot coming at me when I said Vicario was 100% leaving and both centerbacks couldn't wait to leave. Well honestly good riddance to all three. That lack of an emotional bond with this particular group is like nothing ive ever experienced. I hope we are going through due diligence with the next lot of players whatever league we are in because we need some characters we can get behind.

Haha yeah. I mean Senesi is decent but this all has the feel of over correcting from just buying youngsters and looking for experienced prem leaders when what we actually need is more technically gifted players. Gallagher proves roll up yer sleeves types are not whats required.
Senesi is a very technical player, one of the best progressive passers from CB in the league - but arguably at the back is the only area we're technically quite good already. It just doesn't work in tandem with the rest of the team. We can't control games because the midfield and forward lines are so poor on the ball, and we can't sit back and counter using our physicality precisely because we've got a very technical defence rather than one which can absorb pressure or win aerial duals. The only thing you can do with this squad is a high press out of possession looking to force opposition mistakes, reverting to a dull, low-risk system in possession mostly focussed on frustrating the opposition and winning set pieces. Senesi could replace Romero's role in Van de Ven's position which makes you think both are off - but that does leave you with a pretty slow backline if you play him next to Vuskovic or to a lesser extent Danso, which won't work unless we overhaul other areas of the team. Great player, not a good fit for this squad unless we're serious about major changes elsewhere too.

I don't see the issue with this, we have to plan for the future regardless...if we stay up and we miss out on Senesi then fans will blame the club of not being proactive.

As usual we wont be doing any actual planning. It will all be about being cheap, doing easy deals and just buying for the sake of it.
