Remember when everyone was clamouring to label him a generational talent

Our fans really are something
More than anything, the lack of a decent coach for 3 full seasons has seriously reduced these players abilities. Not only were they not building the actual skills they needed to become better players, but they spent time learning and internalizing suboptimal, sometimes deleterious tactics. I think Sarr will have a decent career elsewhere, but it won't be with Spurs. We mishandled his arc of development as a player, as with many others, and have built our squad in such a way that we have to let go talent in positions where we are overloaded. It's fucking embarrasing, and ought to be a death sentence for any so-called "professional's" career, such as the utter clowns Lange and Vinai.

Exactly people do not get how we have litteral stalled out players development with these wild swings in direction. Its a very fine line pushing players on and maximising them. Im delighted that we giving Devine an opportunity.

In another life he would have gone to Brighton instead of Tottenham and everyone would be clamouring over him as the next £70m signing.

Preston will 100% trigger the option though. £4.5m is not a lot of money
It is for Preston ... plus they would have to agree personal terms with him and that would be a fraction of the wage he would get with us.
The issue will be where he wants to play I should think. He is a nailed on starter for them now and he grew up about 20 miles from Preston. If he comes back to us there is every chance we fuck him about.
