Not surprised with being linked to him. Had a great season. Sunderland going to get stripped this summer if owners don't hand out new contracts

or just invest in both positions like a normal club...Mads, Kulu, Xavi, Kudus + Moore.
Couldn't we just fuck off wingers and play 4321 and plow as much dosh as poss into a new ST?
Its not impossible because Liverpool have lost intrest and that was where he wanted to go. Id go big on another lcb to compete with him Whatever happens ( no more sacred cows) I think he's always going to be a better left back myself. But if a good bid comes in Id let him go.I was certain VDV would be away in the summer regardless of league status.
Maybe we can hold onto him one more season but could all be smoke and mirrors...
Assuming Spurs stay in the Premier League there is no European football next season. This won't be desirable for most players; however if De Zerbi can convince them that Spurs plan a title challenge and, the club actually backs him there is no reason to beleive that players will abandon ship.
Kulu, Romero, VDV, Xavi, Palhinha (assume he stays), Bentancur, Gallagher, Kudus, Madisson and Porro (if played to his strengths) are top shelf talents.
Gray, Begvall, Vuskovic, Tel, Dragusin are very good youth talents. Mike Moore and Devine also developing well.
It's clear that as a minimum, Spurs need to improve their best team - not buy for rotation. A starting Goalkeeper, Left Back, Left Forward and Centre Forward are ESSENTIAL - and that is assuming that Madisson, Kudus and Kulu are back FIT and ready to play pre season.
Davies, Bissouma, RKM will leave. Sarr, Odobert, Spence and Udogie don't seem up to it. But maybe new coach will bring out the best in them.
One thing is for sure - Spurs simply cannot have yet another injury crisis. If players have chronic problems - they simply must be moved on; no matter what their perceived ceiling is. A team is only as good as their worst player.
For a Club that finished 17th last season and is now Fighting relegation, why would he be mad if both our CB's went?If we do stay up, I'd be surprised if de zerbi allowed both our first choice centre backs to leave in the summer. He'd go fucking mental.
Palhinha is our best CM and he's got at least 2 good years of football left in him before he starts losing a bit of strength. Doubt he's going after RDZ post Villa presser, seems like he loves him. You need passion in the club, it spreads nicely!Big overhaul needed esp if we stay up..,
GK: buy one in who’s good with his feet AND a good shot stopper, Kinsky is defo good with his feet but I’m still very far from being convinced by his shit stopping. Trafford would be good, home grown. Kinsky can stay as no 2.
LB - seems like Robertson is coming in then we have Udogie and Souza can’t see much more happening there.. we need to have a serious look T how to improve Udogie’s robustness and hopefully Robertson can teach him how to cross a ball higher than someone’s midriff
RB - porro and Spence- I’d happily sell both tbh neither move me. Realistically with all the work needed I’m fine to leave it for another season
CB - let Romero go and Drag Go, if Senesi comes in and Vuskovic comes back I’m good with that 4
DM - essential - i’d prob let palhinha go (with regrets) we need a passer there essentially, a locatelli type would be amazing, I’d love to go for Wharton/Baleba too! Sarr can go, biss can go. Bentancur to stay with the 2 young lads and hopefully add 2 (Locatelli,Wharton/Baleba) appreciate that’s prob unlikely.
AM - hard to say. Man would kill for another crack at MGW, seems unlikely but we need a 10! Maddison is an unknown entity, Xavi out for most of the season. We need 2 arguably…. Gallagher can stay,
Right Foward - RKM goes. Kudus hopefully back for the new season? Kulusevski? If they could share that position next year that’d be so perfect.
Left forward - Moore might get a chance? Tel can play every now and then, odobert back in oct/November? Still a really unreliable side of the pitch need a proper player on that side.
ST - I’d sell Dom and Richy and scout properly maybe the Porto lad? He’s got 13/20 this year and 19/30 last.
Like I say - squad is a mess huge question marks over Kulu Maddison kudus and odobert
No idea what the summer will look like
Basically I am on the same page.Big overhaul needed esp if we stay up..,

I’d keep Palhinha amd bring in another tackler but one who can dictate the shape and pace of the game.Palhinha is our best CM and he's got at least 2 good years of football left in him before he starts losing a bit of strength. Doubt he's going after RDZ post Villa presser, seems like he loves him. You need passion in the club, it spreads nicely!
Agree with most of that though, a passmaster in midfield is needed, attackers needs the most work, it needs a complete overhaul, none of them have been good enough.
When has the transfer thread ever taken reality into account?People understand we are 1 point above the relegation zone right??
This is why nobody likes the current group. If we go down he is responsible for that, but he will only stay if we don’t. That’s not loyalty. If we stay up he has graciously decided to honour his fucking contract.
Alternatively; given the dearth of proper top class striker options out there invest massively in two starting wingers (that have goals in them) and hope that gives more ammo to the strikers we have? I’m including Lankshear in thatMads, Kulu, Xavi, Kudus + Moore.
Couldn't we just fuck off wingers and play 4321 and plow as much dosh as poss into a new ST?
Brighton fans were not too keen on the players he personally wanted there like Dahoud and Fati. I guess he will have more pull at a club like us though.Im hoping de zerbi has a big say on transfer targets. Seems the type of manager who knows how to buy top players.

Part of the problem has been we've been 'making do' in certain positions that they know we'll be short in.
