Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A number of our players who we need to move on (eg Bissouma at end of his contract) will not generate much in the way of fees, yet to buy any decent player the average price will be anywhere between £50m and £100m.

So I'd guess we might be looking at bringing in up to say 8 players of whom one/two might be free, and likely a few of our u21 players (eg Vuskovic, Phillips, Devine, Lankshear) - so we pay decent money for maybe 3 players - Eg.

GK Vicario out (£20m), Darlow in (free)
CB Romero out (£60m), Vuskovic as starter.
CB Dragusin (£30m - agent keeps on demanding a move) , Phillips as 4th CB,
CM Palhinha (£30m) convert from loan
CM/AM Devine (versatile CM/AM) may be needed as AM backup to Maddison depending on Kuludevski recovery timescales, can also play CM/DM
FWD 1 Player able to score/assist and play right sided
FW 2 As FWD 1, but mainly play left sided
CF Lankshear back up to Solanke
Kolo Muani (loan ends) and likely Richarlison leave, as well as Bissouma and Sarr.

Whilst we don't have european matches (which means a 60 game season) we will still be playing a 45 game season, but we use 2026/27 as a season to bring through some of our best most experienced youngsters (Vuskovic, Phillips, Devine Lankshear) some of whom will fly, one or two might prove to be average (but replacing players such as Bissouma who have been average for Spurs). This is a good preparation for 2927/28 when we hope to be back in europe with a need for a larger squad and 'Club Trained players)

The biggest issues we have atm is lack of creativity and lack of goal scorers - the first will be alleviated with Maddison back, don't know about Kulusevski, Simons out until next spring, so Devine in fills a possible gap. The second (goalscorers) is a real problem as there are few good goalscorers in europe - so we need to buy plus try to bring through Lankshear. IMO we need to replace both Kolo Muani and Richarlison, so we need to keep Solanke and see if Lankshear can show enough next season - leaving us with :

RW - Kudus + new Fwd
CF - Solanke + Lankshear
LW - New Fwd + Tel and Odobert
I think getting a new first choice CF should be a higher priority. Solanke + Lankshear should be our forward options if we get relegated, not if we stay in the Prem.

I dunno who we go for, but we simply can't be relying on an injury prone and flaky striker like Solanke and a promising kid - we need to bring someone in.

It's a bit more awkward out wide as we're obviously thin on options, but have a ton of players with long term injuries who could feasibly play those positions (Kudus, Kulu, Odobert, Xavi). One option might be to bring back Moore or Solomon as a rotation option for the first half of the season so we aren't forced to spend 100m on multiple first choice wingers. Realisticically I think we can probably only afford to buy 1 quality wide player if we also need a striker, CM, LB, etc.

Also, small detail but no chance we spend 30m on Palhinha. If that deal happens we'd negotiate it down a lot I reckon. 20m tops I suspect.

I’d. Up a top notch left winger and bring back Mikey Moore. Sell Tel.

How many of those were actual quality first teamers though? And that's where the issue lies.
If you're wanting to sell Romero, VdV, Porro and umpteen other first team players, we need to be upgrading on them and it'll be nigh on impossible to replace that many.

Most of the players you mention here hardly ever played for us.
And many people complained about that window because the only 'first team' player we got in was Solanke - we shifted plenty of bodies around but didn't strengthen the first team at all, which is why we are here now.
We need to get rid of 3 or 4 of our most useless players....we may have to take a financial hit on it but we're rich enough to absorb it...who those players are is subjective obviously to us individually...

I'd say at least 3 or 4, if only for mentality and not ability but we need to properly upgrade anyone who leaves, which is going to be tricky with Lange at the helm.
It's going to be a long and painful window.
