Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

which makes you wonder if they see relegation as 'strategic', as it will trigger a firesale of players (you'd think) and reduce the wage bill. How that compares to PL revenue reduction is a different question, but we do need to clear the rot this summer regardless
That would mean they have a plan ... we have seen enough to know they don't have a plan.

Why would they have hired RDZ if that was the case, could have kept in either if the previous 2 managers and we would have been already down.

We were told that our owners were going to up the anti with the quality of players we would sign. The latest is, Andy Robertson and Paul Dybala, both over the hill and free transfers. What a fucking joke. We deserve to go into the Championship and stay there.

No idea. Not implying they are trying to cause it, but simply not seeing it as a 'problem' - not least because it'll probably serve them in trying to push Levy's stake out by devaluing it

I don’t think it’s that. The risk of it going all wrong is way too high. I think it’s as simple as Lange and Vinai not wanting to lose face for hiring Frank as the Frank project collapses and the owners forcing the issues and pulling the plug when it became clear Frank was shit. Lange’s rep was with Frank, that was apparently his guy and for it to fail so dramatically questions Lange’s Competence.

Paulo Dybala has been omitted from Argentina's 55-man preliminary squad for the 2026 World Cup. Coach Lionel Scaloni has left out the 32-year-old following consistent injury issues and a lack of recent appearances, marking a potential end to his international.
now thats a real spurs player

If we stay up, we better not do the usual and piss about all summer waiting for “opportunities”. They know the areas we’re deficient in. They’ve told us they have money to burn and want to be ambitious, so move early and get ahead of the pack and the World Cup tax.

Get Senesi and Robertson in early. Sell Vicario and Romero.

Sign a midfielder that can pass the fucking ball; Locatelli, Wharton or Stiller. If you really want to be ambitious, get Baleba to play alongside them to give us legs and do the dirty work.

Go to Forest and pay the money above board for MGW.

Get a top level Left Winger. If you’re ambitious enough, go get Diomande. If Kudus and Kulu are still way off it, we need someone else to cover RW. If you still like Savinho, get him.

Fuck knows who you get up front, but get somebody better than Solanke, Richy & RKM, surely that’s not a tough ask. Toney’s a cunt, but would he do a job for a couple years till someone else comes to the fore?
I say this fully aware we’ll do none of this other than Senesi, Robertson and maybe a Locatelli and Savinho since City will be willing to get rid relatively cheap. But if the owners were as ambitions are what they claim they are, then that’s what we have to do to compete at the top. As expensive as it will be, it will be more expensive to get relegated.

That would be an interesting one. Newcastle seem to be keeping Howe so will v.likely want rid given he very obviously doesn't suit their system. Could probably get him for a bit less than they paid (although still pricey).

Lovely footballer but not a typical number 9. Think I heard on that Newcastle West Ham commentary that he hadn't had a shot on target for 13(!!!!) games prior to scoring in that one.

Think he has huge potential but absolutely dependent on our system. We'd have to build around the guy.
