Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We’re discussing our football team.

You were calling someone a clown for wanting to replace both our strikers.

I called the geezer a clown on the basis of his conduct and how he contradicted himself.

I disagree. I don’t think they’re up to it. And I don’t think Tel is good enough either.

The club can and should move them on.

For this Nth time; this isn't about how little you or i rate certain individuals.... Just simply what is practically possible at the level of quality people will no doubt insist upon.

2 new LWs
2 new STs
2 new LBs
2 new RBs
CB
GK
CAM (Kulu/Xavi problem)
DM-playmaker
RW (Kudus long term injury)

It's fantasy football gone mad.

That's before looking at the numbers..... Modestly; that's prob about 500-600m.

City paid about £30m for him, and he’s flopped, I don’t know what world they’re in thinking they should be getting £50m for him. They should be getting no more than £20-25m for him, that’s what happens when players flop.

If he was in that price range I’d take the gamble in the hope he comes good, but it’d be as an option out wide, we’d still need an undisputed first choice out wide, you can’t trust a guy with Savinho’s stats as your number 1 there.

Yes true.
We now need somebody we can fully count on 100% so its a case of wrong player wrong time.

He will probably go somewhere like villa and unai will really progress him. Hes a project with a potentially very high ceiling and we cant count on that.

Left wing is the position we need to spend BIG.

Go for Nico Williams or Godts or Yildiz - just show ambition and spend the money in this position. We desperately need a capable winger. Way RDZ plays, his build up play gives 1v1 opportunities for his wingers. So, need someone who can take on the fullbacks and go for it.

I am sure Mikey Moore can be very good in this in the time he will be given. But we need to hit the market big in this position.
Mika Godts should be the first choice at LW. He is young, but he's several cuts above the Bergvalls/Grays that we've bought recently. We can sell him on being a starter from day one, whereas he'll sit at the other clubs currently after him.

~£45m should be enough to get him, and his wages won't be too high. It's a perfect ENIC transfer in the biggest position of need.

We need two wingers minimum this summer. If he’s the lesser of the two wingers, signed at a reasonable price, I’m fine with it.

If he’s signed as our top winger this summer, then it’s gross negligence,

Doing transfers early in a World Cup year is the best business you can do. RDZ and the recruitment team should have a list and we should get as many deals done as early as we can.
But then we are Spurs so it’s unlikely. We need a striker to go with Solanke and probably Lankshear.
The early free agents means the defence is sorted. Use the money from Romero, Vicario and whoever else we sell (as well as what the owners begrudgingly kick in ) to get
1. Striker
2. Left side attacker
3. AM
A defensive passing midfielder is CRITICAL!

we need a DM who can pass like Romero, it's the biggest problem we have with Sarr, Bentacur, Palhinha etc!

It will take a number of windows, for sure, but we need to be far more aggressive with this squad than normal.

That said, I have no expectations for next season. Just improve our home form. That’s my hope.

But we have a number of players that simply have to be moved on. Too much water under the bridge. Something snapped during the second Ange season and an active animosity developed between the players and the fans. Unfortunately, it’s something that I think was allowed to take root.

New generation. De Zerbi has a five year contract. Anyone that isn’t all in needs to be off.

And that could turn out to be 8 or so transfers.

I’d be prepared to wait on Porro / Spence although I don’t think they’ll be here long term. LBs are ok, although would be happy to sell Udogie.

Front line needs to be totally redesigned.

He’s exactly the type of player that we should not be signing. £45m for a totally unproven 20 year old who plays in the Dutch league. A league where Troy Parrott has found success.

We’ve made the mistake of paying over the odds for young players with potential whose salary demands aren’t that high. It has been the Spurs model for years and look where we are.

He might turn out to be the real deal but we simply cannot afford to gamble on any more players like this for that sort of money. We need proven, established players who will 100% do the job. We have an enough youngsters with potential. Mikey Moore being the key one.

The YouTube clip culture in full effect…always a next big thing playing in a league weaker than the Championship, which most other European leagues are these days.

Saw the same thing with Xavi last summer. Ooh look at the flicks and tricks yet none of the clip reels show the way he gives the ball away cheaply.

I largely agree.

I've not implied any different tho.

The only point i'm pushing is that, come September, some of our back-ups will reluctantly need to consist of players that in an ideal world would be gone.

Can I just say I find your short temper utterly baffling. I dont care if people suggest we sign a front three of Alverez, Dias and Mbappe. I am SO HAPPY to be playing this utterly pointless game with you all. Its an absolute delight after the last season.

Here's some more Cranston Cranston Nunez and Jackson both better than Solanke and Richarlison.

Spurs depth chart:
ST: Solanke, Richarlison
RW: Kudus
LW: Tel, Odobert, Moore
CAM: Simons, Maddison
CM: Gallagher, Bentancur, Sarr, Gray, Bergvall, Devine
CDM:
RB: Porro, Spence
LB: Udogie, de Souza
RCB: Romero, Danso, Vuskovic, Dragusin, Phillips
LCB: Van de Ven
GK: Vicario, Kinsky, Austin

Contracts expiring: Davies, Bissouma, Palhinha, Kolo Muani
Contracts <1 year: Richarlison
Contracts <2 years: Vicario, Maddison, Kulusevski, Porro

Areas of most obvious need based on the above: CDM, RW, LCB, LB
Areas where depth needs to be trimmed: CM, RCB and LW

I would absolutely take Darwin Nunez.

Appalling finisher but a complete menace.

EDIT: He's on 400 grand a week.
