Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This is bit where everything we say here falls apart and Airfixx Airfixx gets mad about it. Its ENIC. We will bring back RKM resign Werner and extend Richarlison...

I think we'll make one 50-60m cost signing, two 30-40m signings, and maybe 2 more 15-20m signings. I think that will afford us only one potentially top attacking signing this summer, unfortunately...

This is my wishlist for summer :

Defense :
  1. Sell Vicario , Dragusin, Romero. Let go Davies.
  2. Buy Yann Sommer on free. Kinsky is no1 to start the season. Let them fight it out.
  3. Danso, VDV, Porro, Spence stays. Udogie for me goes if there is a good offer.
  4. Get Senesi , Robertson on free
  5. Bring back Vuskovic

Midfield :

Real issue here is balance. Too many ball carriers - not enough passers.
  1. Loan out Bergvall to a PL club like Hull or Ipswich
  2. Sell Sarr. Let go Bissouma.
  3. Buy Palhinha. Keep Gallager, Bentancur, Gray
  4. Try to buy a Bruno Guimares or Tonali or Wharton or Angelo Stiller if they are in market. I am sure it will be difficult. But we got to try for such big progressive midfield players from PL or Europe- SPEND BIG
  5. Buy Alex Scott - if we do let Gray go on loan.
Attacking Mid/Wing/Strikers:
  1. Keep Maddison, Tel, Kudus.
  2. Moore comes back.
  3. Remove Xavi & Odobert from squad atleast till Jan.
  4. Sell Kulu , Richarlison, Solanke
  5. Buy Troy Parrott. Keep Lankshear.
  6. Buy a LW - Mika Godts / Nico Williams / Kenan Yidiz - SPEND BIG
  7. Buy another up & coming no9 - Nicolo Tresoldi / Christian Kafone

In summary, we got to break the bank on progressive midfielder & left winger. Get the build up play and structure going under De Zerbi. This alone will improve us a long way.

They're different players though.

Although I do think thwt De Zerbi can unlock a progressive pass out of Scott, Hackney is more natural at it.

Besides all that our current midfield is a bit of a mess, need to sort out who's going out first before we think of upgrading it.
Yeah, let’s see who leaves, might be a case for both although there’s been no links to Hackney for a while and if it was a choice I can’t see De Zerbi favouring him over Scott if he was open to the move. Could be wrong.

Even though stats might say it, quality wise I don’t see Hackney as a better passer than Scott anyway, Different teams, different divisions, different way of playing. Really can’t go by stats. That imo is where we’ve been going wrong. Watch the players and the difference in quality. How they handle the ball under pressure, how they make space for themselves, how they move, decision making, how good are they off the ball. You don’t need one player who can play progressive passes, one player who’s good at tacking etc. in the premier league as a midfielder you’re going to be called on to do a bit of everything imo. If Hackney was as good at all the other stuff as Scott than yeah maybe take the chance but he’s not.

the other day when I watched Newcastles three. There wasn’t one of them sitting there deep just playing progressive passes. They were playing triangles, all were able to beat people, carry the ball, little give and goes, if you’re good at those things you don’t need eye catching passing. You need that more as a ten at the top of the pitch when it gets tighter for space and the movement off the ball is more off the cuff

You don't need to get all offended and weird. The internet is a funny place but you can talk to me normally.

If you want facts only then here is a fact:

Senesi is 29 years old and has 3 caps for Argentina.
Romero is 28 years old and has 49 caps for Argentina.

I am not being weird. I specifically mentioned the PL. It's a fact that Senesi is a better CB in this league. Romero is a rash hothead who makes loads of mistakes. Senesi doesn't.

It's backed up in all the data too.

Why are you so bothered about who has more caps for Argentina? Spurs play in the PL and we want the best PL CB, not the best CB for Argentina :)

I like Nunez, more so than Toney who would add a certain arrogance. Not always a bad thing, and I suspect a trait De Zerbi quite likes.

If we buy 2 strikers, De Zerbi is surely telling Solanke in very few words, goodbye.

If we do want to get Toney, then it needs to be before the World Cup, just in case he plays well.

I certainly don't see Toney going to a club/manager he thinks is beneath him. Nunez would be very good in my opinion.
Liverpool really missed Nunez this season. He misses sitters but he causes havoc for teams. I’d take him here definitely. He’s a player that makes the team function better. Bit like Jackson at Chelsea. Just need to put goals around them.

100% agree.

You must have goalscorers around such players, but like Diaz, they are just nuisances, obviously with quality.

The absolute opposite to Moppy Muani, but also to players like Isak, and to some extent Etitke. Good goalscorers but.....

Slot talks of getting Liverpool back next season. He has next to no chance in my opinion.

If we can get Nunez, I think it would be good, but I think Howe would also see the benefit, so we would need to move quickly.

First time I've even bothered to think about this thread in months (for obvious reasons) but pleasantly surprised to read a sensible post first up. It's a wish list but it's based in reality. Good and interesting take
