Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As usual this forum focuses on wingers and strikers.

And i'm not saying we don't need any(we need everything)

But as a wise man once said: You build a successful team from the back.

My priority list would be:

1. GK, RB, CB, LB
2. 1 or 2 ball-playing central midfielders. Because without them ther's no need for sexy wingers or strikers.
3. Wingers and Strikers.

If Savinho comes alongisde a goalscoring wide player then ive got no issue with it. Probably a bit underrated on here at this point, touchline winger who immediately improves the technical level in this team.

He should no way be our only wide player we bring in though and obviously has to be significantly cheaper than we were being quoted last summer.
Have you even watched him play. I know it's difficult because he only started 7 games for City this season but it's a stretch to say he immediately improves our technical level. There is limited to no evidence to support that. Because he can't get in the City side doesn't automatically make him better than everyone else. This just smacks of the gooner playbook. Let's improve our team by signing City cast offs. Neither Jesus or Zinchenko helped those cunts win the league and they quickly realised there was a reason City sold them.

I would be very surprised if we got both Savinho and Robertson. Not because of the players themselves, just because the owners know they are on thin ice and if they fuck up the next window, there will be trouble.

Savinho, I could understand, but big question marks. Robertson can fuck right off. 30 year old on massive wages who is broken (according to their fans). We should avoid anyone who is questionable and not young.

Paulie was a huge exception to this rule, but lightning rarely strikes twice. God speed, warrior! (not sure he's off, but looks like he is, so good luck to him).

Funny how fans who were desperate for Savinho last summer are now turning their noses up at him.

Who are the mythical left wingers out there who we can sign who will guarantee double digit goals and assists?

We wouldn’t be signing him if De Zerbi didn’t want him. Maybe just maybe, Savinho is a highly rated player who pretty much any manager, whether that’s RDZ or Frank before him, would want to sign and have in their squad.

I remember a time a few years ago when fans were desperate for us to pay 60-70 mill for Muani

True there are not many quality left sided attackers but sometimes you have to work a bit harder to find the gems and give them time to grow

The problem with Savinho is that he doesn't look like scoring or assisting in big numbers. For example Sonny in Germany always looked a threat and produced decent numbers

I know it's Belgian football but Tzolis at Club Brugge at least looks threatening with his shots at goal from all angles and distances, he is an assist machine and scores goals too. Good with both feet as well

If we keep Vic, we have two very capable GKs. Kinksy is our new no.1. As long as Vic is there to compete, we'll have a great pair, since Vic will have to up his game to get back in.

RB is spence/porro, LB is needed. now CDM, too. Paulie-clone with more tekkers.

RW is sorted if we get Kudulus back. LW and ST are a necessity. RKM out, ASAP.

* Those RBs should switch depending on opponent.

Im sure the club would have talked about the players that they have done significant work on bringing to the club to RDZ and had the conversation.
It doesnt mean he is the only player, even if the links are true.
Yeah bit confused by people saying de zerbi cant want them because our interest pre dates him.

Obviously the club have mentioned players they had already been tracking to him and hes said yes or no.

Didn't pull up any trees at Norwich. Did well in German 2nd division and Belgium top league is probably worse than our Championship. He's not the answer mate but I think you are right in that we need to think and look outside the box.

Surprised speaking to a Palace fan this weekend about Wharton and how his stock appears to have stalled.

Understood why he he wasnt on the plane with England and questions whether he is robust enough to survive being targeted the more obvious his distribution skills are identified by opposition hatchet men.

Not sure I understand the Robertson angst.

Decent pro, good character type - De Zerbi has made clear the rebuild starts with people like this - and best I can tell he can do a job

If getting him in on a free means we have actual LB cover thats actually a LB, means Spence can stop Porro getting over played, means we can loan Silva out to see if he can step up = doesnt sound terrible to me?

All said with zero excitement, I mean I couldnt give a shit if he doesnt come, just Im not understanding the whole anti side of it - seems a bit of a no brainer

Unless we are actually far richer than reported and dont need to do a bit of smart wheeling and dealing?

Free LB = Premium attacker - might be the balance of things...

As to "Premium attacker" = Im not sure thats Savinho. He feels to me much more in the mould of young/potential/probably overpriced sort of business we often do (just had a quick look, 39 appearances, 5 goals, 3 assists - actually better than I expected ((only 5 full 90' I think)))

Yes ive watched a fair bit of him, he hasnt set the world alight at city but i like him as a player and think with more consistent minutes someone like de zerbi could get a lot out of him. Its defintely not a stretch to say he improves our overall technical ability. We ended the season with a front 3 of richsrlison spence and tel lol. Savinho makes sense to me he plays both sides and we currently have no fit RW. I caveat it with i wouldnt pay anything close to what we were quoted last summer and he cant be the only wide player we bring in.

Savinho kicked on this year from 29 appearances with 1 goal and 8 assists the previous year to 24 league appearances with 1 goal and 1 assist. He didn't even make the Brazil 55 man preliminary squad. Surely Langes data driven recruitment model can see an issue here

I think we definitely need more than just him as an attacking signing. But I do think there is talent there. He needs to play consistently.

I would also like to see some new targets this summer. And ideally some proven talent not potential. Because focussing on potential is what has got us into this mess.

We need a striker desperately. We cannot go into a new season with Solanke and Richarlison. If we do we will be down near the bottom yet again

We also need an a passing central midfielder. I can’t believe Lange is running our recruitment still ffs

Absolutely not, Vic needs to go, with Romero.

These characters are not what we need, otherwise...

...absolutely agree

This is a real concern for me. Not he players, so much, but the persistence on long standing targets.

This is a real breaking point. Things need to change. We have come FAR to close to the line, and have allegedly in going with de Zerbi changed track.

Promised more power to the manager, more investment, genuine change in how we operate - IMPROVEMENT in how we operate.

To just pop up with the same targets we have had the last couple of seasons, smacks of the opposite...
