I can see sense in this, good experience for a short period to help team get where it needs to be.
Frees up money to be used elsewhere on potentially bigger signings.

Fair enough. That's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. I seen a lot of stuff to like about him, much more than I dislike, of which there is very little. If he costs the same as Solanke did, absolute no brainer, he's a vast upgrade on anything we have.
If we didn't already have one crock at LB I could understand it. This just feels very shortsighted.

We'd actually be buying a 32 year old left back not selling one.

I'd rather we signed Robertson AND kept Porro.

No i like him, I just think hes a long way off being world class, and to your point i dont think hes better than Solanke in any way other than possibly having slightly better ball control but even that isnt a given.
Honestly, aside from probably Archie and Kinsky, I'm fine with any of the squad leaving.

Him being on the bench can fill in when injuries occur is what i think they are doing.
