So De Zerbi arrives and it's all the same targets from previous windows lol

Now it's possible De Zerbi is up for all of them but if something smells fishy....

I just can't help think this will be business as usual at Tottenham.

The wrong people making the most important decisions regarding recruitment and the manager (doesn't matter who) has to toe the line.
I agree. Everyone is happy with RDZ & we know he has left clubs in the past after arguments with the Club officials. So why are the names linked with us ones that we were after before he came. I do hope the next signing is an RDZ choice or we could be losing RDZ during his contract and start again.

I dunno if we should be doing any business with City just yet if the FFP rumours are true. If this is the summer that sees them get pumped they might be forced to do stuff they don't want to do.

If RDZ wants Savinho then fine, but we shouldn't be paying over the odds based on what he's shown the league over two seasons.

Re the pitch …

From BBC

So it seems the posters on here saying it should be looked at (of whom I was one) are not so crazy after all…

“As part of the audit, they are considering numerous factors to work out why it has become such a problem.

For example, Spurs are analysing the "bounce" on the club's home pitch in comparison to that at rival grounds and their Enfield training centre.

At present, the club have found there is no major difference between the conditions of other pitches in comparison to their home ground, but testing is ongoing.”
If those steel plates are shifting under the weight of 22 players, then that is an engineering fuck up of catastrophic proportions, considering they weigh 3000 tonnes each. They're covering bases to show fans they're being listened to I'd wager.

Scrimping should be a thing of the past. We need to get recruits in for a whole preseasonto give them, and the manager the best start possible.

Honestly I dont think its totally crazy or about weight or shifting plates. But there could be a tiny tiny issue regards the give. Say theres slightly more push back on impact with the surface could repetitive running on it landing on it put increases strain on muscles and tendons. Its amazing tiny issues can become bigger cumulative ones. I think its worth investigating if only because Real Madrid have had an injury spike and have the same set up.

To all those complaining about getting experienced freebies in...

...look at Aston Villa's squad.

Not price wise, experience wise.

That's what experience gets you.

So stop turning your nose up at the likes of Robertson, Senesi and Stones, because if it were any other club finishing back-to-back 17th they wouldn't have a chance of signing players of this quality.

Same people moaned about McTominay links whilst at United and dismissed the signing of Granit Xhaka.

We need men.

I agree with your sentiment, but no way De Zerbi accepts players he doesn't want.

My thinking here is, we've essentially said to RDZ, we have two free signings ready to go which we've been working on for 6 months and they won't affect our transfer budget, so won't affect any other potential incomings, do you still want them? and RDZ has said yes lets bring them in.

I don't see any reason why he wouldn't want Robertson and Senesi in the squad for next season, especially as they are costing nothing in terms of a transfer fee. So I wouldn't read too much into it.

Honestly, if 3k tonne plates are shifting over the weight of footballers, that is insanely dangerous and only a matter of time before they collapse. They're not designed to shift, that indicates the mechanics supporting the plates are defective.

So if it is the pitch, and it's flexing, we'll in Wembley again for a while.

Ex players are saying that the medical team isn't fit for purpose and doesn't have the budget that having hundreds of millions of £, talent warrants. They said it wasn't that they were incompetent, rather they were criminally under resourced. We had normal-ish injuries with the pitch for the first 3/4 years, now all of a sudden we're getting ridiculous injuries.

The surface is another question, if it's too soft, it can cause studs to get stuck. But injuries like ACL's aren't degenerative, barring a tiny, tiny % of cases, they are impact/momentary issues.

I think the inquest needs to go back to the start of Angie's first season, because since that November/December, that was the shift.
