Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ive been trying to think about strikers that could be available and who would suit RDZ and what he wants from his players. He loves heart, passion, fire and attitude but also someone mobile to press well and link up and make runs.

Theres really very very few. Its either a random player from a lesser league that we hope translates into the pl or somebody else thats readily gettable but seeming uninspiring. I do think solanke will stay which I dont mind to see if he improves (i think he can)

The player matches the criteria best is Darwin Nunez.

Thankyou

Nicolas Jackson is the best fit that’s available. He’s a scruffy finisher (much like Nunez), but his link up play is miles better. He’s good at stretching defences with his runs in behind and creating space for his teammates. Cole Palmer’s been half the player since he left.

Exactly although I'm sure Semenyo has more goals than that but he's not strictly a LW anyway.

You know the market is dead when Gordon is going to Barca for €70m and I don't think that Gordon is particularly a bad player but he represents amongst the best outside of Vinicius, Diaz and Karavastelia.

People didn't believe me when I said Summerville is one of the better deals we can do on the left, maybe because it's not a fashionable transfer, I dunno :p

Yeah Semenyo has more but he is an outlier.

I agree with you about Summerville

Seems some want to go down the untested in the prem route and there are way too many examples of wide players from other leagues coming to the prem and struggling in a league where players with pedigree in this league have been struggling.

The problem is there arent really any top top lwf available. Gordon has just gone to barca for 70mil and he was probably the most coveted lw out there. Realistically, rashford and summerville are about as good as we can get at the moment. Theyre both better than what weve got (by quite some distance) and would improve the depth of our squad. if youre saying savinho is a good lwf for 70 mil then i really disagree. would much rather the two you dont like than him for the same money.
Then spend that on a top striker. Not fill the squad with more dross like Summerville and Rashford. Leao is a LW, Godts as well. Just atay away from utter useless shit like Summerville.

The alternatives are rashford, savinho and maybe leao from milan. I'd have leao first, then rashford, then summerville and finally savinho. Perversly savinho would probably be the most expensive. Leao is meant to be available for 40mil.
Rashford and Leão are luxury players, proper lazy. Brilliant when attacking, but both switch off when they’ve got to track back, press or do the dirty work. That’s why Rashford suited Barcelona more, they dominate the ball and protect attackers defensively.

Roberto De Zerbi needs forwards that press and a lot of work off the ball. If attackers only fancy it when they’ve got the ball, they will not fit in with him.

Senesi a good signing imo and keeps funds for elsewhere whilst improving our CB options. I’m assuming/hoping we ditch Dragusin and Romero

Without comparing the stats I think they are similar players and despite neither being quite clinical enough there's a real lack of options out there.
I always felt nunez was a huge handful for defenses and hes got all the attributes and never shied away. Maybe going Liverpool when he did stunted him at the time. He just strikes me as perfect for what RDZ wants in a striker.

But Jackson is a good shout but hes one of those players that steps over the line too much and seems very capable of stupidness on a regular basis. I remember him being quite ridiculed at Chelsea.
