Van Hecke because of De Zerbi and Scott because he’s a Yiddo…

We could legitimately take 2 of the leagues most coveted players over the big clubs this summer for reasons almost purely down to luck

I think we should be targeting taking the best players from outside the top six clubs. United and city have done brilliantly in the past doing it. Expensive nowadays but you’re getting proven quality.

We tried to do it with Richarlison and I guess overall he’s been an ok signing. Brennan Johnson …another one…Solanke I still think has a big season for us in him, especially under De Zerbi

Worked really fucking well with Alderweireld though.

If we want the club to show big club ambition then this is the kind of deal to get over the line, done and early, and no quibbling (aside from Brighton saying £70mil or something stupid).

Sell Romero for 50 and get Van Hecke in for 40 would be great business.

It's time we move on from the Romero circus now.

Senesi - Free
Robertson - Free
Wilson - Free
Van Hecke - 40m
Hackney - 10m
Savinho - 50m

Not bad for 100m and done before the WC 👀

I like the Van Hecke if it comes off, basically replaces Romero. Building from the back is always how you build good sides, always will be. Hopefully we get a midfielder in now who can set tempo and control the midfield, then we need an entire new attack!

Was De Zerbi’s keeper at Shakhtar I think. So either lazy journalism, or he does actually want to work with him again.

Im leaning to lazy journalism

Ornstein doesn't report shit like this unless it's advanced, he doesn't have a rep for goal hanging.

MGW permitted but we know what happened there ;)

Agreed, its just the nature of deals isnt it? They arent done, until theyre done....

So your assertion its as good as done, I cant agree - and it feels like tempting fate (we know how it goes when its Spurs!)
